Down to Business Bunny

First Time Jack Rabbit is really what they are marketing...a great rabbit-style vibe for someone who is interested in trying the dual action type of toy. This is by no means the perfect toy, but for the comparably low price, this powerhouse is a likely guaranteed orgasm for every play session it is in. I am very satisfied every time I use it. For the price, I say there's very little risk in being disappointing this toy!

Use

I would definitely recommend this to someone who has never bought a rabbit-style vibe before. It is one of my favorite purchases so far, and great when I am looking for a quick orgasm because of its powerful vibration, rotation, and spinning beads. The shaft is short but thick, and wonderfully filling, and the flexible clit attachment is suitable for most anatomies. The bunny's bendy nature, paired with the shorter insertable portion makes is great as a thrusting tool. It is an almost overwhelming experience...but one that I really enjoy! As hinted at in the title, this toy gets right down to business!

It does have few features, and only one speed, which advanced users may find disappointing, but I truly believe this is a great introduction to the world of dual-action vibrators.

Material / Texture

The shaft and rabbit are made of super-squishy TPR, which ranks a 6 on EF's safety rating. The reason for the lower score is because of the porous nature of the material. I did a quick internet search on TPR (also known as TYR), and it seems to be a generally safe material that should not contain BPA or pthalates. Unfortunately Cal Exotics does not label it as either BPA or pthalate free, which legally they are not required to do, so we don't have a 100% guarantee that it is free of these questionable substances, but they are likely not to since the manufacturing of TPR does not require either. I did find the material to have a slight plastic-y smell, but not overwhelming or disturbing in the slightest. However, it does pick up lint (okay...a lot of lint!), so along with storing it in a closed container, I clean it with soap and water both before and after use. The handle and control panel are hard plastic, and while it does not go inside your body, it is nice to know they are safe, too.

Design / Shape / Size

This toy is definitely not small, and definitely NOT discreet! It is 10 inches long with 5 inches insertable length. The pink color is okay, though I would say it is more light-rose in shade, not bright or hot pink like I saw on my monitor (of course all monitors are different!). It is not my usual taste, but this toy only comes in one color. It comes in a cheap plastic container that I suppose one could store the toy in, but it is definitely meant to be thrown away. There are no instructions or literature inside. What you see is what you get!

The shaft contains non-jamming rotating beads, and while you can definitely feel them when squeezing the shaft in your hand, I did not really feel them distinctly when inserted. That may just be me though, because I was definitely feeling the rotation and vibration more! I also squeezed rather hard with my hand to test the non-jamming claim, and the balls kept spinning! I doubt anyone could stop the balls when inserting it (if you can, you deserve a medal for those strong muscles!).

The shaft is short, but girthy! I personally can't take it all in easily without either a lot of lube, or a "warm up" with my hands or another toy first, but as a caveat: I am on the smaller side. It is very filling despite its short stature, mostly because of the rotations, which are fun and definitely add to the experience!

I found the rabbit clit attachment a lot of fun, the bend that joins it to the shaft is extremely flexible, and it rubbed nicely if I manually thrusted the toy. The vibrations seem to be consistent through the whole rabbit, though the ears are particularly fun to touch. It is not the strongest vibration I have felt, but it was definitely on the upper-end of the power scale, and enough to almost guarantee an orgasm every time (usually within a few minutes).

As for the overall styling, I admit I think it's a bit vulgar looking. I tend to be attracted to the more abstract/artsy styles (just my opinion), but I was really looking for the experience when I chose this toy. This seemed to be a good opportunity to try a dual action toy, and I can save my pennies for a more expensive, and more attractive rabbit style vibe in the future!

Functions / Performance / Controls

There is only one speed, and for me, it is pretty fast. It can take me from not feeling very amorous at all to orgasm in just a few minutes, and there is no build up. This can be either good or bad depending on how you like to use your toys. If you like a slower build up I would save this toy for the end! I don't use this as an everyday type toy, but when I'm looking for a "quickie" I will definitely turn to this!

The controls are easy to use: the bottom one turns it on and off, the middle one changes the direction of the rotation, and the top is the "mode"....and honestly I can't tell the difference between the mode. On and off is really all I need. It takes 4 AA batteries, and I haven't run though them yet after many sessions with them.

I will say that it is loud to my ears...I would say electric pencil sharpener loud! Not as loud as my stand mixer, thankfully! Toys that rotate seem to suffer from this problem, but it is understandable when seeing how much action is going on when you turn on the toy! I do think the added rotation is worth the extra noise. If you need to be discreet, definitely use noise-muffling techniques like turning on your stereo, A/C, or running a shower! I think it would definitely be heard behind a closed door with no added white noise.

This next fact is the main reason I wanted to write this review...this toy is NOT waterproof as advertised! I put it in water and it instantly was completely filled with water. Upon further inspection, it seems that the seam where the clear TPR connects to the pink plastic is not completely sealed (I don't think it's a defect, it is definitely a seam that is not water tight, and I doubt any kind of glue would fix that...it would need to be redesigned in my opinion). Luckily I was able to dry it out completely and after about a week it worked perfectly again. Save yourself the worry and don't take it in the tub or shower with you! It works excellently on land.

Care and Maintenance

This material can be cleaned using just soap and water, and I found it easy to clean. Because it's clear, you can definitely see if it needs to be washed! It does pick up lint, so either store it in a closed, lint-free environment, or wash it before use as well.

It is not the easiest to store because of its size, but it would at the very least fit in a sock drawer!

Follow-up commentary
Everything in my review still applies. I love this thing, but I find that I don't get to use it as much as I would like because of the noise. But when I do, I love it.
