This vibrator would seem to work best for women, as it is a firmer material that some may find a little too firm for anal play. The other reason for this, is that the actual mechanism that vibrates is midway down the shaft rather than in the end of the vibrator which would make it more versatile in my opinion, especially for anal use as it could be used to stimulate the male p-spot, or even vaginally it could be used to stimulate the g-spot. I personally feel that this toy will work fine as a solo toy or even as a couple's toy. It has three levels of vibration, the lowest, as I found was far from being powerful enough, some may like the middle setting, while I personally kept it on high power the entire time. As far as the best situation to use this, it would seem that it can be used in a spur of the moment where a couple might want to bring in a little something extra to spice up a situation, or used solo for whatever the case might be.

The Curvy Power Stud is made of a combination of plastic (the power control as well as interior housing for the vibrating mechanics) and PVC (the insertable portion of the toy). The actual smell of the toy is fairly mild, and I had to put my nose closer to it to actually smell it, the smell that it does have is similar to what you would expect from PVC, an almost burnt plastic smell, or like rubber. The rigidness of the end half of the toy comes from the exterior material alone so it will compress if you pinch or squeeze it and when you let go it will automatically come back to it's previous state. The vibrator has a nice texture in my opinion, ridges toward the last inch and a half or so and veins throughout the rest of it that make for a good stimulation.

I liked the design a lot, it has a slight upward curve to it that makes it move within you easier and more comfortably (as the lower portion of the anus has a slight curve to it anyway this toy allowed me to insert it all the way and do so without any discomfort). The design is supposed to look like a penis which I feel it does a pretty good job of doing, it isn't intended to be a realistic toy and it doesn't exaggerate features too much either, which is pretty much what I wanted from it. I did find when using it, that if I moved it in and out too fast, that the ridges would cause some discomfort because it wasn't gliding as much as I'm used to with anal toys. But, if I moved it a little less vigorously, I found it to be highly pleasing. As far as the diameter is concerned it is very similar to an average penis, maybe even a little bit wider, but not uncomfortably wide, the length seemed just fine as well, and as a result I think that it would be a good toy for an average user, even a beginner user probably would even be okay with using it.

Using the functions of this toy is very simple, on the base of the toy there is a single button that has 4 total functions, low, medium, high, and off. As far as how this performs, it will immediately change speeds when the button is pressed, although the power at each level could be increased somewhat, but that is due to the fact that I like a toy with very strong vibrations vs. lower/mid level power. The best part of how this works is the fact that it operates by button rather than by a dial at the base like another vibrator that I previously owned had and I would end up turning it off quite frequently. This toy is noisier than I expected, about average for a vibrator however, something close to a more expensive Sonicare electric toothbrush, possibly a little quieter. This toy is waterproof and even though I didn't use it in the water I did turn it on high and run it under the sink for close to 5 minutes to see if it did work as intended, which as I expected it ran fine and after letting it dry it still runs fine.

Because of the fact that this toy is made out of PVC it is recommended that it only be used with either water based or silicone based lubricants, and not oil based. It is also recommended, but optional, that when you use this toy to put a condom over it, as PVC is known to have some poisonous properties, if you intend to use it anally or with a partner that you use a condom as PVC can't be disinfected and is semi-porous. If you are going to be going from anal to vaginal, it is strongly advised that you change the condom to prevent contamination and possible infection from the many bacteria that can be found in the ass. Washing with soap and water after use is another recommended procedure as it can help (it cannot disinfect) clean off some bacteria that may be on the surface of the vibrator.
