Named after the goddess of the night, Rhiannon is a rigid vibrator, with a textured shaft that was definitely a new experience for me. Rhiannon is beginner friendly due to her design consisting of a vibrating head, textured shaft that also doubles as the battery housing, and a rotating style power source.

I`m still not too sure if she is completely waterproof, so I find her best used in the bedroom. The battery compartment seems pretty sealed, but I have had some issues with the controller that I just don’t trust it around water.

This feisty vibe works best for solo or partner play, and its strong vibrations are good for foreplay and sensory arousal. Because she is a straight vibe with no base, I do not recommend inserting this one anally for she may never come back out! I, however, did not find Rhiannon very successful at pleasing me on her own, which I strongly believe is because of her narrow shaft and non-curved physique. But don’t let this discourage you, she did get my juices flowing a little more than some of my other toys have, which I credit to the ribbed shaft and the thrusting qualities that she provides. If trying to achieve an orgasm with Rhiannon, I do suggest that you pair her up with a clit vibe to help finish the job.

Rhiannon is a very rigid, yet textured vibrator that has a smooth satin-like finish. This allows for easy insertion without that ‘dragging’ feeling. Ranking in at a 7 on the material safety meter, Rhiannon is protected with a PU coating. She is non porous, and both latex and Phthalates free.

She does have a light odor if you directly smell her, but I’m sure that is the case with most toys. To the touch, Rhiannon’s head has a smooth silky feeling. Her satin finish encases the entire toy, but when feeling her shaft, the ribbed feature stands out a bit more that that silky feel.

The ribbed section does add a bit more stimulation while thrusting, but other than that I didn’t really find this aspect too exciting. I consider myself still a beginner, and yes this toy is beginner friendly, but as far as climaxing goes, this toy did not deliver. So to avoid a misconception about vibrators, beginners might just want to look elsewhere to a toy that is going to knock their socks off!

Rhiannon’s design is very simple. She is a basic vibrator with a ribbed shaft and bulbous head housing a single motor. Her satin finish does apear to be well cared for, meaning that it is smooth and doesnt have any imperfections you should need to watch for. Unfortunately, I found her design to be quite lacking both visually and functionally. I found her to be too narrow, and with the lack of any curve, it was impossible to stimulate my g-spot. Because she does have a rounded head, clitoral stimulation was far from amazing as well. Thrusting was about the most use I got out of the ‘Goddess of the Night’.

Since the upper bulb houses the motor, that leaves the bottom bulb to act as both the power control and battery access point. It is here that I found a seem where the twisting head met the bulb. This seem should not pose a problem since it doesn't enter the body at any point. I will elaborate on some of this in just a bit.



Rhiannon is about 7 ½ inches long and insertable up to about 5 ½ inches. The head of her is around 3 ½ inches while her shaft is 2 ½ inches around. The head is 2 inches long and the ribbed shaft measures in at 3 ¾ inches long. The bottom bulb is equal to the top bulb.



I would like to say that this toy is designed with the beginner in mind, but again, I am a beginner and this toy was far from pleasing. When it comes to foreplay, even in my tiny toy collection, I have better items that I would turn to. Sorry.

As far as its discreet factor, It is pretty obvious as to what this is so just leaving it around the house probably isn`t the best idea (unless, of course, you are looking for a conversation starter). For traveling, she is slender enough to be hidden within a bag or purse as long as the batteries are not still intact! Let's say you’re in public and get that urge to get your vibe on, I do not suggest this; she is loud. I could hear her through a closed door while she buzzed away on my bed. Once she is inserted, her buzzes do seem to quiet up a bit, that is until she exits!

Rhiannon is equipped with one motor that is located in the upper head. She does have some strong buzzing vibrations, not hand tingling per say, but enough to get the juices flowing. Her vibrations can be felt throughout the shaft, which is a nice feature. Her settings range from off to powerful, covering a few increased vibrations in between. I found myself keeping her low until I inserted her and then cranking it up, this was due to her noise while outside the body though.



Her controls are very simple. The top portion of the bottom bulb has a twisting style control. Twisted all the way left is the off position, and all the way right is full power. Somewhere between this and the battery source I ran into a problem…



She requires 3 AAA batteries, not included, that you insert by simply screwing off the bottom bulb. The problem that I ran into was that while screwing the bulb back onto the toy, Rhiannon would get a surge of power. Normal, right? NO! This surge of power occurs when I have her power setting to off. As I continued to screw on the bulb to seal the compartment, this surge comes and goes no matter where I have the control set. It was almost like I had to have the bulb all the way tightened and then backed off a turn before I could operate the toy with the control normally.

This is VERY annoying, especially if you are trying to be discreet because she isn’t quiet for one, and you can’t just turn it off, because its already in the ‘off’ position. I am somewhat of a Mrs. Fix-it so I did investigate this issue and didn't really see a problem with the wiring. Weather this is an issue with all the Rhiannon vibes or just the one I got, I'm not sure. Either way, the manufacturer should probably look into this. Good luck is all I have to say!

With that said, I have not submerged this vibe in water. With the already existing power surge issues, I don’t think that water would be a smart idea, although the battery chamber does seem pretty sealed.

On the other hand however, what more could it hurt…

Caring for your Rhiannon is quite simple. Because she is made of a PU coated plastic, water and soap seem to do the trick for me. Toy cleaners are also okay to use. Make sure that while cleaning, you are paying close attention to the ribbed section. After my first cleaning, I realized I did not do a good job and found some ‘cum nuggets’ so to speak lurking in between the ridges. EWW, GROSS! Scrub, scrub, scrub! When cleaning my toy, I did remove the batteries just for the simple fact of the existing battery issues.

I have heard of some toys being dishwasher safe, and this is a great idea, however not for Rhiannon. With the issues I had with her battery connection, I don’t really recommend this, or boiling for that matter. Keep it simple, but don’t forget those ridges! That reminds me, when drying Rhiannon, I used a basic hand towel (not a real fluffy one, but one that has been around for a while.) and I did not have an issue with lint. I was sure to dry the shaft well to help ensure the ridges were nice and clean.

For storage, I have mine in its original box still. Once I get a toy chest I will toss the box because it`s nothing too exciting that I want to hold on to.

Because it is not claimed to be silicone, Rhiannon is very versatile with lubes and other toys. Silicone lubes are okay to use with Rhiannon, although I do not see the need for added lubes because of her narrow shaft. Insertion is effortless as is.

Rhiannon’s packaging is far from amazing. She comes in a simple box with a picture of the toy on the front. Dr. Laura Berman, who is a sex and relationship expert, is pictured on the front of the box, as well as on one side. You can find some more information on her here as well. On the opposite side there is some standard toy information. The back is simply multi-lingual information. There is no information packet or warranty included with this product. The 3 AAA batteries that are required are also not included, go figure.

I am very sorry to say that this toy was far from pleasing for me. The simplicity in design and operation is a plus, but as far as functionality goes, I was not impressed. The ribbed shaft added some extra stimulation and was a nice change since none of my other toys are textured, but overall the toy was lacking in girth and g-spot stimulation. I suppose though, with a straight toy, that is expected, however the rounded head didn’t please my clitoris all that well either.

As much I would like to recommend this to a beginner, like myself, I’m afraid that it just wouldn’t impress them enough and would totally steer them away from other toys. Again, I would like to emphasize that while cleaning, be sure to get the ribbed shaft very well! Maybe I just spoiled myself by purchasing a LELO toy as my first one, so my standards may be a bit higher, but sorry, Calex, better luck next time.
