Impulse 5 butterfly - butterfly strap-on vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by HisLittleGirl

I purchased this toy for a different spin on vibrator fun with my boyfriend. It has adjustable straps that do a good job keeping it in place, however they have a tendency to get rather uncomfortable after prolonged use. Either you have to keep them tight enough for it not to move and deal with it being a little too constricting or you have to loosen the straps and continually adjust the butterfly. The clips that hook straps together can be pointy depending on what position you are laying in. It seems to be tricky to fit on smaller or larger framed people.

The vibrations were pleasant but not particularly powerful. It isn't a roller coaster ride but still feels great. There is a thick layer of silicone (making up the butterfly) with basically a vibrating bullet underneath. It wasn't very intense because the silicone was so thick and squishy that you couldn't feel much. On another plus side it is a very cute accessory, especially with the right garter belt, skirt or other lingerie.

The butterfly has a remote that is fun to give to my boyfriend and that combined with being hands-free are the two best parts. You can wear it while being penetrated (vaginally or anally) and it adds an awesome addition of sensation. The only problem with this is that after enough movement it can become very uncomfortable. The silicone gets to rubbing (especially if you shave down there) no matter how tight loose you wear it and the straps dig into your legs. All in all it was a good purchase, even if slightly expensive, and put a new spin on bedroom vibrations. Not something I personally would use to get off (cause it would take forever) but makes for great couples fun. The boyfriend had a blast!

Disclaimer: I am not recommending you try this! It runs off of AA batteries which were kind of weak, especially trying to get good vibrations through all of the squishy silicone. My boyfriend is very good with handiwork and ended up cutting the wire that runs to the remote and hooking it up to a 9 volt battery. The battery was way larger than the butterfly could take but definitely beefed up the vibrations from the AA's. Careful, the battery will get hot! Reminder: if you cut the wire you can no longer use the multiple speed function, it will always run at max.

I definitely didn't learn to love this product. To be honest, I'm kicking myself for paying $60 for it and I have since found much cheaper vibes that provide more fun and way better sensations.

The straps still rub me the wrong way and no matter how I try to tighten them they always end up being an annoyance.

The novelty of being remote controlled and hands free wears off quickly considering how uncomfortable and lack luster the product is.

The only remaining plus is that it is quiet.
