Butterfly share - rechargeable strapless strap-on by EdenFantasys - review by wetterisbetter

I was very excited to receive the Butterfly Share. As usual, it came in just a plain, brown box that raised no suspicions. When I opened the box, it was inside in a clear bag, no other packaging at all, which is ok with me. The toy includes a charging cable and a bag to store it in. The bag is not anything special. To be honest, the cinch strap on it broke the second time I closed it up, so I’m not sure I can continue to even use it; we’ll see.








The first thing I did with the toy was turn it on and run through the 12 different vibration options. They were strong, not the strongest, in my opinion, but strong. My wife, however, felt some of the vibration settings were too strong to even turn on with this toy inside of her, which was a real bummer because there is no option to only have one end buzzing without the other. Even with good, strong vibrations, this toy is not overly loud. They can be felt through every inch of this item. It seems to me like the vibrations on the “wearer” side (shorter end) were somewhat stronger than the receiver side. I could be wrong, but that’s how it feels to me, maybe just because there is less mass to shake on the wearer's side. There are quite a few patterns to choose from, including the same vibrations on both ends at the same time or alternating vibrations where one end gets it, then the other. It’s a bit of a thrill to think about your partner getting rocked while knowing your turn is coming shortly!

Being made of silicone, be sure to use only water-based lube. I love how soft and smooth it is, and clean-up is very easy. We use warm water and anti-bacterial soap, then a good spray down with some EF toy cleaner. I love that the Butterfly Share is completely waterproof! This toy is also Hypo-allergenic, latex-free, and free of phthalates. The one we got did have a very slight odor to it at first, but after a couple of thorough washings and being out of the original packaging for a couple of weeks, the smell is completely gone. The wearer end also tilts off center from the receiver end. I can bend it back straight, but its natural position is to lean over; it always reverts back to that. It doesn’t seem to affect performance, and it could very well be just the particular one that I got, but I thought it was worth mentioning. See the picture below.





We got the Butterfly Share specifically for pegging. Unfortunately, the length limits positions. Don’t get me wrong, being connected to your partner via a sex toy is one of the greatest sexual experiences you can have, in my opinion, but this one isn’t my favorite. A little extra length would really help. The item description says 7-1/2” length, but I’m not sure where that number comes from. It is 5” maximum insertable length on the receiver end and 8-1/2” overall. The wearer end is 3-1/2” maximum insertable length.

Due to a fairly long bout of illness for my wife, quite a bit of time passed between receiving this item and actually having an opportunity to use it. It’s tough to get a new toy like this and know it’s collecting dust in the toy box for weeks, but it couldn’t be avoided. This led me to get adventurous and start with a solo session. Starting with the longer end, I found it fairly convenient to use the shorter end as sort of a handle to work the toy with, but I just wasn’t able to get it to hit my P-spot in the way I wanted it to. Other toys get me dripping immediately, but it took a while with this item. I prefer the highest, steady vibration setting and that did the trick to get the juices flowing. I decided to turn the toy around and give the smaller end a go. I wouldn’t say this end really hit me where it needed to either, but the vibes were even more intense, and I did prefer it to the longer end.

Once my wife was back in action, we gave it a go. I could barely contain my excitement. I started by getting her, and her end of the Butterfly Share lubed up. Once in, I fired up the vibrations, and she was squirming in no time. She found that many of the settings were too intense for her, so if you’re not a big fan of intense internal vibration, this might not be the toy for you. A couple of orgasms later, it was time for the main event. She lubed me and her new cock up and bent me over the side of the bed, both of us standing. It was a bit challenging for her to gain entry, but she got there. Once in, she felt like she had to hold onto the toy, or it would have pulled out of her when she pulled it out of me. After some practice and a little confidence, she was able to go hands-free for short bursts at a time. As for me, the feeling was good but not great. The vibrations that she could handle were not my favorite, but the overall experience for me was good. Again, some additional length would have helped as she wasn’t really able to pound away due to my end popping out a couple of times. She pushed me up onto the bed on all fours and climbed up behind me. This position worked a bit better, but still, she was more concerned with keeping things in place than she was enjoying the moment. She tried lying on her back, and I slipped between her legs facing away from her, but we could not make that position work at all. The receiver end just isn’t long enough, and the angle on that one is difficult to achieve. Honestly, I was a bit let down after such a long wait to get this item into the rotation. I’m sure with some practice and exploring even more positions, we will really start enjoying this toy, but for us this one isn’t starting off with a bang.
