Day glow willy - traditional vibrator discontinued by NMC Ltd - review by lady grey

The Day Glow Willy Pecker is quickly becoming one of my favorite toys. With the tip I worried it was only good for g-spotting, but I found that it pleasantly surprised me. It's excellent for clitoral and nipple stimulation as well. The vibration and pulse settings can be utilized in various ways. If a setting doesn't work well internally, it can still be a nice external teaser. This toy works best when well lubricated and you're in luck, because this toy is also water resistant. It's ten settings give you several paths to heaven.

This toy is made of 100% food grade silicone. It is soft, but not as soft as silicone can be. The toy itself is rigid and the internal composition is constructed with hard plastic. There is a barely noticeable smell, and I probably wouldn't have noticed it if I didn't know what silicone smelled like. This toy will have a bit of give to it with insertion as silicone often does, but with the right amount of lubrication it'll slide in and out effortlessly. Always use lots of lube with silicone toys like this one.

I really like the look of this toy and I'm not usually fond of pink. A lot of the design seems more decorative than functional. It lights up when turned on and the ridges really seem to be there for show. However this toy is far from effortless. While some toys have a little more girth to aid in finding the g-spot, this is not one of them. It took me awhile to find sensitive spots to focus on internally, but this isn't the main problem I have with the toy. It's greatest feature is also it's worst. The Day Glow Willy Pecker is controlled by a single button. This makes it easy to switch between settings during play, but that's the problem. If you have your hand near the button in a moment of ecstasy, you can accidentally switch to a lower setting with just a little tap. I'm okay with adjusting, but for many this is a major deal breaker.

The vibrations are stronger than some toys I've used, and it doesn't stop suddenly like traditional vibes. It's easy to operate. Just press the button once to turn on and additional times to switch settings. To turn off, you need only press the button and hold it for about a second. The vibrations emanate from the center to the tip and are felt less towards the base. It works well in the shower, but I'm not one for really using toys in the shower. The noise level is pretty noticeable through a heavy cover, but it's not something that will be heard through a door. This being said, it's probably not good if you live in a group dormitory. As I've mentioned before my only real issue is that the button can be hit accidentally during play and switch suddenly. If that is too much of an annoyance I'd suggest choosing something else. Otherwise it's performance is functional and is great for beginners or moderate users.

Cleaning this toy is pretty simple, but I hate that it isn't seamless. There's a metal piece near the space where it meets the cap. Those cracks are notorious for collecting debris overtime if you aren't careful. I'd suggest spending more time on that area. I use soap and water for clean up and try to be very thorough. The thing is that with all silicone toys you are going to have numerous little fuzzy pieces attracting to it. My advice, keep in in plastic if you intend on keeping it near clothes.

As a graphic designer I can really appreciate the look of the packaging. It's simple and tasteful. Far too often you get boxes with porn models on the front or really typical cheesy looks. So, seeing that this was simple and clean was a breath of fresh air. It's pink with a see-through front, and is delightfully no-nonsense while still being attractive.
