Hey, there's something fishy going on here
The Fish and Bait is aptly named. The bait lures you in, but really there's just something fishy about this whole thing. It's not well made, the vibrations are powerful but extremely buzzy and even irritating, and it's so loud that even if the vibrations were nice I'd be too distracted by the sound.

Pros
comes with a pouch
Cons
loud, buzzy and irritating vibrations, cheaply made materials
Well, first things first with this toy, you have to keep in mind the price. Sometimes you get what you pay for, while other times you get something that seems like it should cost a lot more. Then finally you have those things that you feel like you paid way too much for what you got. This is one of those. Even buying the Fish and Bait on sale I feel like I paid too much for this vibe.
The first fishy thing I noticed about this guy was the battery compartment. It just looked and felt cheap. When you look at where the batteries go you see these three metal pieces that pop up which is what you sit the batteries on, and then the wires. One of the wires was glued onto the metal piece with a big glob of glue. Then, when I tried putting the batteries in (they came with it so I knew they were the right ones) they didn't want to sit in place. They kept popping up. I had to hold them down and then slide the back on real quick before they fell out.
Okay, so then I had batteries in place and I plugged in the bullet. The bullet is teeny tiny, it's the size of a vitamin or a liqui-gel pill. And it wouldn't even measure up to some of the larger vitamins out there. This bullet is meant for external use only, I wouldn't really insert it vaginally and it's 100% NOT for anal usage. It's made out of hard plastic so it's compatible with any lube that you might want to use with it. The cord is a cheap feeling plastic, kind of rough and thin. It's not very long, but it doesn't really need to be that long. The Fish and Bait's control pack does have a jack in it so you can switch out different bullets, which is nice. While the info says that this is waterproof, that only means the bullet. The power pack is not and shouldn't be around water. Poor little fishy needs to stay on dry land. When you clean the bullet it's easy to just pop it out and wash it with some soap and water and then plug it back in. If you need to clean the power pack for anything I would recommend just using a wipe or damp cloth so that no water gets on it.

Experience
At this point I decided to cast the pole and try out the waters, see if anything was biting, ya know. The pack has an on/off switch and then another button to control the modes. It starts with the steady vibrations (low, high, medium) and then cycles through 4 different patterns. There's two pulsations, an escalation and then a combo of both. The vibrations are intense but they're super buzzy, not the deep throbbing kind. Which, is to be expected with a bullet this tiny, I guess. The tiny bullet has a loud mouth with a very high pitched sound to it that only gets louder when you hold it against something, like your body. We were joking that it sounds like a car alarm when it's on pulsation. Then when it gets the escalation pattern going it sounds kind of like that Dane Cook skit where he makes the song out of car alarms. Mike was going "hellloooooo I'm a vibeeeee I'm really lloouuddddd" along to the sound of the pattern. Funny, but not really sexy! Thing is, this bullet was also so small that it almost hurt to use it if it was on high. Even if I ran it down my arm or my leg it hurt, kind of like a hot needle or something.
I figured this was because of the size of the bullet so I ran upstairs to try it out with some of my other bullets that have the same plug. They worked, but the intensity that it had with the tiny bullet was not there if used with my larger bullets. They didn't feel intense enough to do the job, you could tell that the power pack wasn't really able to carry them. This soon proved to be too much for the power pack and it turned off. I couldn't get it to turn back on at all and it appeared that the batteries were dead. I plugged back in the tiny bullet and it worked fine again. I can say though that I did not have the frustrating experience of it turning off mid-use as long as I stuck to the tiny pill sized bullet that it came with. Sadly that bullet does nothing for me so it staying on wasn't a huge benefit.
It's a shame, it really is, because I love the compact size. It has a little chain with a hook and the power pack looks so discreet that you could easily get away with someone seeing it and not having any idea what it is. It also has a cute little red storage pouch. I guess I can always use that for some bullets that I actually like. It looks like too much time was spent on making it look small and cute and not enough time making it function properly. Even the design might not appeal to all. My husband laughed when he saw it and said "a fish for vaginas? how is that a good combination..nevermind I'm not going there.."

I still don't like this, I don't think I ever really would, so I actually just tossed it out a few weeks ago. The small size coupled with the high pitched almost painful vibrations are just not a good combination. Then add to that the cheap construction, this is a toy that just was not well thought out and is not even worth the small price.

Fish design - do you think it's weird? | 18 |
Thank you for viewing Fish and Bait – bullet discontinued review page!
Yea, I figured that it was worth a shot with the other bullets because this one was too small to really work anyway. I didn't even try my favorite bullet ever in it because I didn't want it to somehow cause it to have problems or something. (I don't even know if that is possible but I am not taking any chances with it)
Great review of a not so great product!
Thanks for the review, Alicia!
