Sailor - g-spot vibrator by JoyDivision - review by Minxy

The Sailor Joystick by Joy Division is a beautifully made silicone G-spot vibrator. It is simple in function but it performs exceptionally well and is very well crafted. Made in Hannover Germany, every part of this toy screams quality.

The matte silicone that the Sailor is made of is ultra soft to the touch and free of any seams. Those of you who don't care for pink will be put off by its neon, hot color, but I really like it. Sailor is a textured vibrator, it has eight raised areas on the front and back portion that resemble the bulges on a caterpillar. The texture is mild in use and didn't cause any discomfort. I felt the texture most during slow thrusting. As for the feel of the bulges; they felt exactly like they look, smooth and bumpy, very nice! Sailor's bulges also help to know if the vibe is still in an upright position.

This Joystick is made of somewhat squishy silicone and there is a fair amount of flexibility toward the top portion of the shaft. The curved g-spot portion pulls double duty, it stimulates the g-spot and makes an awesome clit vibe. I could get pretty pinpoint clitoral stimulation and the power was enough to get me off while using it in this manner. The vibrations that Sailor puts out are middle of the road, not too buzzy, but not really deep either. G-spot stimulation was mild to moderate but definitely there. If you need firm g-spot pressure, Sailor may not do it for you.

Operation is very simple. Sailor runs on two AA batteries and offers standard vibration that is controlled by a twist dial at the base. The twist dial, the silver portion, is textured with fine grooves making it easy to control even with lube covered hands. Vibration starts off low and at max speed, I would say it's moderately strong and would be suitable for most anyone. Now Eden's product specs say that the Sailor is waterproof, but the info from Joy Division states that it is "water resistant". I can tell you this vibe is equipped with a clear silicone gasket around the battery housing. I've also used the Sailor in the shower and I got brave and submerged it, Sailor passed both tests. The sailor is also very quiet. I couldn't hear it on high speed behind a closed door so it would be great for dorm living, parents, or individuals with roommates .

Sailor is a tapering vibrator, the rounded top is gently pointed and curved. As you continue down the shaft toward the base the diameter gently, slowly, increases. Now the specs for Sailors diameter are one and three quarter inches and I'm sure that is accurate, but I think that diameter is at the very base. I estimate the diameter is around one and a half inches toward the center portion of this toy. Total length is eight and a half inches. Insertable length is seven and a quarter inches.

Sailor can be cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner. Some care has to be taken to clean in-between the bumpy texture. Sailor is very fond of lint and other debris so a wash before each use is a good idea. Only water-based lubricant is recommended for this vibe as with most silicone toys. Sailor comes complete with a sample packet of Joy Division's water-based lube and a silver satin storage bag.

I love the Sailor! I found it was great for solo play as well as time with my husband. The silicone is soft enough that my husband can wield it and not cause jabbed parts or a bruised Cervix.
