I don't really <3 this.

This toy was ultimately disappointing for me. Though the bouncy material made for a new sensation, I felt like it deterred from the quality of the toy since it couldn't 'stand up' to my vigorous play. I would however recommend it to those that have not yet tried texture, the ridges were unobtrusive and felt nice.

Clicker button sticks, shaft may be too shallow for some, did not withstand a wash.

Use

The Climax Clicks Violet Vertical is a floppy lil' dual action vibrator. It kind of reminds me of a scene in a movie where a guy drops his pants and the girl frowns. That's pretty extreme, but while I've tried to be optimistic about this toy, it just doesn't wow me. The shaft is so bendable it won't hit my G-Spot, and it's not rigid enough to put pressure on my clit. It could work for some folks: grinders, texture lovers, partner play, and beginners. There's also the wide world of butt love. I can't vouch for that, but it should be alright for an experienced user, there's no taper at the tip so it might be difficult for someone that's never tried.

Material / Texture

The Violet Vertical has some serious ridges on the 3 ½ inch long shaft. The TPR is extremely bendable, squishes in my fist, and bounces back when flicked. Because the shaft is so easy to manipulate, the texture should be welcome for almost everyone.

G-Spotters beware: if you know your G-Spot, and it needs a solid thrusting, look elsewhere. The shaft is simply too flimsy to really push my button, it just kind of rubs against it and teases without the satisfaction of applied pressure.

Design / Shape / Size

There are three parts to this toy, the remote, the removable bullet, and the TPR "sleeve". Upon my first inspection of the toy, I noticed a half-inch tear on the base where the bullet is inserted. That didn't impress me, but I'm sure if that tear wasn't there initially, I would have torn it myself trying to remove the bullet since it’s lodged in so tight. If you take the bullet out (which you should, the bullet doesn't look waterproof enough to survive a wash). Just put a dollop of lubricant in the cavity so it can slip back out again easily.

On the heart-shaped base, there is a flat little nubby heart for clitoral stimulation. This is where I learned how to grind, because you really have to if you want to feel it! The nub doesn’t protrude much so it’s hard to detect. It may take a bit of maneuvering to really appreciate it.

I really liked the material of the Violet Vertical, I'm a huge fan of texture and it worked for me. I just really wished it wasn't so shallow! I think that might be an issue for many people with this toy. (Read about my experience to see how I made the best of the lacking length!)

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Violet Vertical’s gimmick is all about the clicking remote. The face of the remote has an on/off button, and a button on top clicks as you flip through the seven settings. The button itself has a red LED light that lights up and dims according to the vibration, which is a nice touch. It actually helped me when I was having trouble with the clicker sticking as I pushed it down, which was making it hard to tell which vibration I was on. It can take around 3-4 clicks to actually get to the next setting at times, even without sticky fingers.

When it comes to the speeds, my vagina has never been more confused. If the clicker wasn’t so sticky I certainly would have been less confused about what vibration I was on. Regardless, I should have figured out the vibrations before I jumped right into bed with it and got frustrated. For starters, instead of beginning on a low hum and escalating, it starts on the highest steady vibe and descends to low. How does one warm up to a decline? And I don’t think I’ll ever appreciate the seventh speed, but that’s just me…

1st-high vibration
2nd-medium vibration
3rd-low vibration
4th-pulsating vibration
5th-faster pulsation
6th-roller-coaster
7th-various mixed bag of nonsense, or better known as, “my sex toy lost its marbles”.

On the bright side of things, the vibrations travel up through the shaft very well. It takes two AAA batteries and while the intensity is fine, it’s not outstanding for the amount of power provided. The cord is about two and a half feet long, and it hasn’t gotten in the way or been too short for me. I found it a little disconcerting however that the bullet starts to heat up after about 15-20 minutes of usage.

Care and Maintenance

The box reads, “Waterproof for a sexy ‘click’ anywhere”. They must have been referring to just the sleeve, because I ran both the bullet and the remote under water and they leaked afterward. Wash the TPR sleeve with warm water and antibacterial soap before and after use. The crevices are difficult to clean; I noticed the first wash wasn’t enough to make it totally spotless. If you want to clean the bullet an antibacterial wipe would work fine.

If you decide to use this in your butt, or share with a partner, it's best to stick a condom or toy cover on it since the TPR is porous and can harbor bacteria.

As for storage, Violet Vertical comes in a cardboard box with a plastic holder inside. I've been keeping it inside the plastic with a rubber band wrapped around it to keep the lid on. That sure isn't the greatest way to do it if you are worried about space, so it should just kept away from where dust can attract, and where it won't smoosh out of shape.

Experience

My first time with the Violet Vertical was surprisingly amazing. My boyfriend used it on me during foreplay, and I couldn't believe how much I was enjoying it; since the design and material of this kind of toy doesn't usually jump out or appeal to me. What really drove me wild with the VV was the texture, and that it was so much shorter than what I'm used to in a toy (or a boy). It was great for foreplay because it had me aching for more, and though I didn't reach orgasm with this toy it pushed me far enough that when I did have one with my boyfriend it was freaking awesome.

Maybe these should all come with my boyfriend just in case, because when I use it alone it doesn't really make the cut. I will definitely keep it around but it won't be something I'll reach for often.

I do like the idea of these clickers - nice review!

I really do too. If only it worked! Thanks Sammi!

detailed review, thanks! I was wondering about the nubby heart that's near the base. It doesn't seem to stick out far enough to really do anything - and your review confirms that.

I like that the material appears to be squishy and soft though.

Thanks for mentioning the clit nub. I was curious about that.

A'course! This is actually one of those things that you get what you see. If you think the nub is too small for you, it probably is.
