Couture collection Rhythm - rabbit vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Miss B Haven

Rhythm from California Exotics Couture Collection is a wonderful product for dual stimulation of both the clitoris and g-spot. This toy is great for beginners as well as advanced users, I am personally making it a new staple in my collection and I have quite a variety. Rhythm is better used as an easy-going vibrator rather than a ‘let’s get this ride going and over with’ type of stimulation. I normally enjoy hard vibes and wide rotations on my rabbit-type products but this one was different and I am completely making an exception for it.

The Rhythm is made of premium Japanese medical grade silicone which makes it very safe to use and very easy to care for. Silicone doesn't carry an odor and this toy is no exception. It is velvety smooth to the touch and it has a seamless design with clean lines that don’t allow for much of a hiding place for bacteria. The lines were modest enough that I didn't really feel them when the toy was inserted, the shaft felt completely smooth.

At first I was unsure of the design, a rabbit-like toy with no beads or cute little animal? But I like to try different styles and textures and this was definitely a new experience for me. Right out of the box I fell in love with the Rhythm’s elegantly understated form and shape. I gave it a wash and found myself going over the soft curves multiple times. With its smooth lines and lack of a cutesy clit stimulator I felt like slowing down for this toy. It has plenty of functions to satisfy just about all users and it doesn’t have a wide rotation, just enough to hit the g-spot without rubbing it raw. The shaft was thicker than I anticipated but not uncomfortable in any way. The clitoral area is a little low and short. It worked for me but if you find most of your favorite toys have a higher or longer clit piece then I might consider getting a different version of this toy from the Couture Collection.

The Rhythm offers seven functions with three speed variations and is also waterproof. The functionality is unlike any other toy I own. California Exotic got a little creative with a few of their options. It feels as if the vibrations come only from the base of the toy and travel up from there. I didn’t feel much vibration at the tip of the shaft on the first setting, but on the second and third they were very apparent. The lower set vibes do make the clitoral stimulations nice and strong. Rhythm also offers ‘feather touch’ controls and they really are. The buttons also illuminate a beautiful blue color and are placed at the base of the toy giving the entire piece an ergonomic feel. While I held the shaft in place during play my finger fell into a comfortable groove that is at the very bottom of the toy where the batteries screw in. The cap itself has a divider for easy open/closing but it was also the best place to rest my fingers when I wasn’t playing with the buttons. Having all the vibes in one place I think also attributes to how quiet this product operates. I was able to play in an empty bathtub and my husband had no idea until the orgasms started flowing.

Being made of silicone the Rhythm is very easy to clean and disinfect. You need only to wash it with soap and water and you have a safe and sanitary toy to enjoy all over again. You can boil it for a few minutes but make sure it is ONLY the silicone part and wrap the base of the toy, as well as your hand, in a large rag. I know this toy is waterproof but I don't think it is steam proof and we know our skin isn't. Silicone toys should only be used with water-based lubricants. They do retain heat nicely, so to get a little different type of enjoyment out of this product you might try soaking the shaft in warm water for a few minutes, top it off with your favorite water-based lube and see if it doesn’t give you some new sensations.

The Couture Rhythm came in a very nice box that has a flap that when opened reveals a window with the toy in full view. The box itself contains quite a bit of information but nothing that’s not already in the website description. It would make for a nice gift but I personally think it is too big to keep for reusable storage.
