As much as I love penetration, I appreciate a toy that offers quality external stimulation. The Pomona Palm is designed to fit against a woman's anatomy and deliver good vibrations and it did not disappoint! The shape and size of this vibe is good for someone looking for clitoral stimulation. It doesn't offer a lot of variety, but it is a great deal and superior to other vibes with similar design that I've tried.

What really sets the Pomona Palm apart from others is the silicone pads. The only other vibrator with this shape I've used was one similar to the [Superbe|https://www.edenfantasys.com/vibrators/clit-vibrators/superbe] (not that exact one - it was a while ago so I don't remember the exact product) - in other words, the entire body was hard plastic. The Pomona has two silicone areas; the larger one is a big slightly concave circle at the larger end measuring 1.5" and the smaller is a 1" x .5" nub at the smaller end. The rest of the body is hard plastic.
For me, hard plastic tends to be a bit too hard for my most sensitive spots. The silicone areas on this toy are positioned just right to hit just above and below my clit or, for more direct stimulation, directly on the clit and pressed against my vaginal opening. They are soft enough to press down on all the delicate parts, which is something I can't do for very long with a harder toy,

This design worked perfectly for me. The Pomona measures about 4.5" long, with just over 1" of curved space between the wonderful silicone pads. Personally, I found the curve and the overall length to be just right for cupping my anatomy. I decided to take the scientific approach and use it both ways, since I've had time to get to know this toy pretty well. I can turn it one way, with the narrow tip resting on my clit and the larger end stimulating my labia, or turn it the other way and let the two pads rub just above and below the clit for mare of a gentle tease. I could easily move it up and down to vary the stimulation and have been able to orgasm quite easily. This design would be something I'd recommend to any user. It might also be a good choice for people just starting out with toys, or women who are less orgasmic and are beginning to explore their sexuality through solo play. This is because it is contoured to fit well and focuses on the areas that tend to respond well to stimulation. The small size and pretty color make it feminine and unintimidating for a beginner.
This toy is small enough to tuck in a travel bag or hide in your room without taking up much space at all.

The only possible drawback I can see to this toy is that it only has two speeds, and I can't tell much difference between them. I'm willing to overlook this because the design is otherwise so good and the contour and silicone make this toy easier to maneuver and enjoy than many others in this price range. The vibration is a steady buzz and can be turned on, and then turned up using the control button on the center top of the toy (the side facing up if you have the curve cupping your lady-bits). The vibration is strongest in the narrow tip (the end that fits above or directly on your clitoris) but can be felt all through the toy so you can enjoy a more general stimulation while you're using it. Because it's more of a buzzy vibration, people who like stronger toys may find that this isn't powerful enough. If you enjoy a good surface buzz and don't need much variation in strength it's probably worth trying.
The Pomona takes two AAA batteries, which are not included. The battery casing is on the side and feels a bit flimsy but isn't cheap enough to make me detract points.
It is a bit noisy. While testing it, I left it on in my room and couldn't hear it through a closed door and under the covers (a sheet, a blanket, and a down comforter) but could hear it through the closed door if it was not under any covering. This makes it, in my opinion, not good for dorm living and iffy for roommate living.

This toy is not waterproof and should be cleaned with soap and water using a washcloth or toy wipes. Do not submerge this toy, as water could easily get into the battery compartment and ruin it.
If you use a lubricant with it, use a water or oil based lube. Do not use a silicone based lube, as parts of this toy are silicone.
Storing this toy is easy for me, since I can just wrap it up in a towel and drop it in my treasure chest. I have also slipped it under my pillow in anticipation of a fun night, but if you have pets watch out - the silicone pads do seem to attract cat hair.

The Pomona comes in a no-frills clear plastic clamshell. The insert is better then some I've seen since it has no overtly sexy/pornographic images on it. The insert has Dr. Laura Berman's endorsement on it (apparently she has a show on Oprah's new network and has published some books. I'm not familiar with her work but if she's encouraging women who haven't tried toys yet to do so I'm all for that!), and includes some basic instructions on cleaning and which lubes are compatible with it. I've covered all that here but am pleased to see it on a packaging insert because it is important information.

For the price, I think this is an excellent choice. The lack of variation in speed or rhythm is the only thing that keeps it from getting a perfect score from me, but the other positives I've covered - shape, size, and silicone pad design - make this a toy I would want to have available for a quickie or for getting off in front of a partner. I would recommend this to my sister or my mum, so I certainly think it's worth trying!

Personally, I tend to enjoy penetration, but I can appreciate a toy that delivers pleasure straight to the clit as well.
