For the technicals, the Illa came in Eden's standard discreet packaging, packed with bundles of brown paper, and in its own white, plastic sealed box. The toy came with its charger and a small instructional manual.

Pulling the Illa out of the box, I was immediately surprised at the size. Compared to most of my other toys, this seemed pretty large for a rabbit-type toy. (And by rabbit type, I mean a penetrative toy with some kind of clit stimulation, not necessarily speaking for the shape itself. I'm just not sure how else to describe these) I was drawn to the Illa because I absolutely need some kind of clitoral stimulation to orgasm, and a lot of toys just miss the mark. Instead of having an arm, nub, or some other kind of attachment, the Illa has a flat surface that's supposed to vibrate and pulse your clit. This was particularly exciting to see because I have a habit of pressing a toy really hard onto my clit, which can minimize and mute the effects of the vibrations. Continuing on first impressions, the "shaft" (but not really a shaft per-say, it's just the insertable part of the toy) does point almost straight up; however, it's very flexible. I was a little nervous because I don't think I've ever had a toy where the shaft is perpendicular to the rest of the toy, but I'm hoping that it will put a lot more pressure on my g-spot due to the shape.

Controls are simple and straightforward, press and hold the power button in the middle to turn it on and off, then the + and - to cycle through the settings. That being said, it was really easy to change the settings during use, and I never had the problem of accidentally hitting a button when I didn't mean to.

Now for the actual use. Turning it on, I definitely feel like the shaft/arm doesn't have as strong of vibration as the flat area for your clit - which for me is totally fine. I did use this while I was on my back, but whatever position you're in, you're going to have to think of this as a hook with the way you insert it. While it is flexible, it's not "floppy" so I immediately felt a nice amount of pressure from it pushing up into me. I focused more on my clit than anything since this isn't exactly a toy that you can kind of thrust with and maintain contact with your clit. I did only use the steady vibrations, but they're nice and strong without being the kind of "buzzy" that will leave you numb if you're not careful. I did find myself doing my typical hip thrusts, which seemed to adjust to pressure and depth of the "arm". While I'm definitely not a g-spot person, the feeling was really comparable to someone stroking and massaging while fingering you. It's definitely a different kind of experience in one of the best ways. The flat face for the clit was that much better, and it definitely held up to the borderline abuse I put it through. It didn't reduce in power the more I pressed it into me, causing me to double hand this toy at times. Everything combined made for a quick and effortless orgasm.

Clean up is a breeze, seeing that there aren't any spots to ridges for, uh, any fluids to get trapped in. You could use this with a good spray cleaner or give it a quick wash; both would honestly take about the same amount of time.
