Mini G is Mega Boring

As much as I would like to like it, I would only like this if it was the first one like this I have. Unfortunately, it looks and functions just like a few other vibrators I have, down to the functions and the order they come in; the only difference is that this is smaller.

Use

As implied by the name, this is meant to mainly stimulate the G-spot, but as a vibrator it can be used to massage most any part of the body and the size of this makes this perfect as an oversized bullet. Though this is insertable, since it doesn't have a flared base this cannot be used for anal as it can get lost easily and a trip to the ER is never fun. This is also waterproof so you can take it in the shower, tub, pool, or anywhere. Since this is a bit small, it's great for beginners or those who don't really like size much; those who value size will find this toy severely lacking.

Material / Texture

The silicone in this makes this toy really silky and smooth. It has ribbing, but it can barely be felt as this doesn't have much girth and the ribbing isn't that inset. Except for the curved head, the Mini G is inflexible. Out of the box it has a slight silicone smell, but after a few uses that goes away.

Design / Shape / Size

At a diameter of 1" and only 3" of insertability, this runs a bit small, but due to the rigid material, in my opinion this size is comfortable as it doesn't apply too much pressure on one spot, bruising said spot. Designed to hit the G-spot, I think this was made well, as it is said that the G-spot is 3 inches in. This is great for beginners, but size queens will definitely want to look elsewhere.

My only problem is with the design which is extremely unoriginal. Clearly this would just be a smaller size of the Lia G-Bliss but I thought there was going to be a bit more variety than just the smooth curved head with a little bit of ribbing on the shaft that CalEx seems to be churning out. As you can see, this resembles both the G-Bliss and Posh Teaser I own.

This also isn't the most discreet toy as it looks a lot like a vibrator and I'm not sure if you can pass it off as anything else.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This has 10 functions: the first three are a steady vibration from low to high, then a graduated vibration from low to high, and then the fifth is a burst function that goes "pew pew pew" steadily, and the next is a faster "pew pew," and then a "pew pew stop pew pew stop" at an even pace. The eighth is the opposite of the seventh in that it's "pew pew pew bzzt" rather than experiencing downtime; the ninth is a steady pulse that has a short break and starts again; and the tenth is a steady pulse.

Most of these weren't very strong. The vibrations, even though they were mainly in the head, didn't really do much to stimulate the G-spot well. I really liked that this wasn't noisy though; it's one of the quietest vibrators I've ever owned. I also like that instead of one button that is both the power and function changer, there a function changing button as well.

In the shower, this is even quieter and no water seeped into the battery compartment.

Care and Maintenance

This is silicone, which makes it easy to clean and store: just wash it with some soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner, dry it, and you're good to go. Try to keep it away from other silicone toys, though, because it is said that they can fuse together. This is compatible with both oil- and water-based lubes, as just like the silicone toys, silicone lube might have a negative impact on the toy so stick to just oil and water.

Packaging

This comes in an all-plastic box that advertises what this is, and what it features. As the plastic is durable and non-recyclable, it would make good storage. Like the newer CalEx 10-function toys, this came with an instruction manual that explained how to replace the batteries as well as what the 10 functions are. There wasn't really a lot of information, but there was more than what California Exotic used to put in their packaging, which is a step up. The step down is going from paper boxes to plastic.
    • Good for storage

Follow-up commentary
It's not the best, but for the days when I just want a little buzz of pleasure, or want to be discreet and not screaming in ecstasy, this is great because it's not the most powerful, nor is it the weakest; it is a really good balance between them.
