Nice Basic Vibrator

This is a reasonably priced vibrator without the bells and whistles. It won't blow anyone away, but if you're looking for something simple with a decent amount of power, it's a good choice as long as you don't mind the extra care SoftSkin materials require to keep them clean.

useful review
This vibrator is nothing spectacular, but that doesn't make it something to scoff at. It has fairly strong vibrations and it's a nice shape and size for play. I quite enjoyed the girth.

Don't forget that it's waterproof and runs off of just 2 AA batteries. I have a decent size collection, and very few of my toys run off of just 2 batteries, especially if you're looking for a decent amount of "oomph" in the vibration department.

The toy's "balls" vibrate as well when the toy is turned on, and turning the toy around so they hit the clit can make for a bit of fun.

All in all, I'd say they've packed a decent amount of quality into a relatively inexpensive toy.

Now, I'll be honest: I probably won't end up putting this toy to much use. It's not a bad toy, but I definitely prefer my rabbit vibe.

This toy doesn't have much of a base to grab and use as a handle. What base there is carries a lot of the vibration into your hand, which I'm not fond of. It is also housed on the lid to the battery compartment and it holds the twisty switch to turn the vibrator on and off, so it's easy to accidentally change the level of vibration, turn it off, or break the waterproof seal at an inconvenient time.

I don't get anything out of the nubs; they're too soft and malleable and don't hit any sensitive spots (perhaps the ridges on their Rimmed Rod would provide better stimulation?)

I also prefer a little more range in the level of vibrations. This particular vibrator doesn't offer very soft vibrations - the lowest end is still decently powerful.

I like the soft, malleable texture of the SoftSkin, but it picks up hairs and dirt very easily and I worry about the level of cleanliness and hygiene when using a toy like this. It is already difficult to maintain a decent level of sanitation when working with a material that attracts dirt; adding all of the little nubs to get in the way of a thorough scrub just seems to make the issue harder to resolve. SoftSkin is also very porous and holds in germs and dirt, so it is generally recommended that you use condoms.

Also, the toy has a slight chemical smell to it. I don't know if it will fade over time, but it is still present after several washes.

If you do choose to buy this toy, as I said, use a condom when playing with it. Wash it both before and after use, using hot water and toy cleaner or antibacterial soap. Cover it in cornstarch before storing it in a ziploc bag or other storage container separate from other toys so that the porous material doesn't absorb dyes from other toys. Be careful about your choice of lubes; this toy is not compatible with silicon or oil based lubes, so you should only use water based lubricants.

Last but not least - have fun! This is a good toy if you're looking for a simple vibrator without all the bells and whistles and are willing to put forth the extra effort it takes to use this toy safely.
Follow-up commentary
I've actually found myself reaching for this vibrator a lot more often than I'd expected to, based on my initial assessment. I find that I'm hooked on the give of the soft sleeve, even though I'm still not a fan of the nubs. The chemical smell has also faded, which makes the toy much more appealing to play with.

do you have to take this off the vibe underneath to clean it--like it's showing in the picture? thanks for the review!

You can if you want to, but I don't think it's necessary to do so frequently, although it never hurts to go the extra mile. If using it regularly, I'd probably clean the inside every couple of weeks. If you choose to use the vibrator WITHOUT the sleeve (which I wouldn't - the shape is a bit awkward for that purpose), definitely clean it thoroughly, though. The main thing to keep in mind is that anything that is coming in contact with germs can spread germs.

Ah...bad smell...I hate when that happens.

The testicles on this look funny.
