The Study Buddy is a pink, waterproof toy used for shallow vaginal play or clitoral stimulation. I would not recommend this toy for anal pleasure due to the fact it does not have a flanged base to protect it from sliding in fully. You don't want to make any embarrassing hospital trips!

It is made of a hard clear plastic with a removable jelly sleeve. The jelly sleeve is a rubbery material that feels gummy and it is a light pink. It is 3 inches in length and 1 inch in girth. On the jelly sleeve there is a design of a smiley face, which the company uses to that it is ribbed- I don't think it felt like a ribbed jelly, more like a jagged jelly. Study Buddy is dial based, where you can adjust the speeds of the vibrations from the most faint to the strongest. It is compatible with the shower, due to the o-ring used to protect the 3 watch batteries that power it.

To care and maintain Study Buddy, I would suggest using a water based lubricant, due to the fact that silicone or petroleum lubricants may be damaging to the removable jelly sleeve. Astroglide is the water based lubricant of my choice. I would recommend using warm soapy water to clean the jelly sleeve and a basic toy cleaner for the plastic under the jelly sleeve. I used Lion's Den Anti-Bacterial Toy Cleaner (a brand from a local store), but any toy cleaner of your choice should do the trick.

Study Buddy is packaged in a clear plastic container. It is bulky, and too big for the actual toy itself. It has a provocative school girl displayed, which is suitable for the products name. When you open the original packaging there is a faint smell of plastic, similar to the smell of a plastic grocery bag. I feel it is hard to store in its original packaging, but if you are to keep it out of it's original packaging it is very easy to conceal in your purse, nightstand, dresser drawer or wherever you deem safe.

I was excited to receive my first toy from Eden's Fantasy as an Advanced Reviewer. I came home and saw the white box on my porch. I ran up the steps and tore into the box like a child on Christmas morning. I couldn't wait to try the Study Buddy, and I think that my excitement set me up for a large disappointment.

The first time I tried the Study Buddy was in the shower. I easily unscrewed the bottom of the toy and loaded the 3 watch batteries into it. I turned the dial to the lowest vibration and performed clitoral stimulation. At the lowest setting it was so dull it felt non-existent. I turned the dial to full blast, and even with it turned all the way up, it didn't have as much power as my shower head! Thinking that the removable jelly sleeve may be dulling the vibration, I took it off (after fighting with it for a few minutes!). With the sleeve off, there still wasn't much “vroom”. My next attempt was to try shallow vaginal play while using the jelly sleeve as a clitoral stimulator. There was still no moans or groans on my end. I, disappointed, packed up my Study Buddy and figured I would try it away from the shower.

My second attempt was in the comfort of my bed. I lubed the Study Buddy up with Astroglide and began my world of discovery. Again, there was nothing worth discovering. I tried, unsuccessfully, to make it worth my while. I tried sleeve, no sleeve, clitoral stimulation, shallow vaginal play, and nothing seemed to be working. I was saddened that it didn't seem to work for me, when it clicked! Maybe it was better for couple play!

Later that night my husband and I tried Study Buddy. We started with massaging each other with it, but being that its vibrations weren't very strong, it didn't even help work out a neck kink. As my husband and I got down and dirty, we discovered that even with him fully penetrating me, and my using study buddy to help with clitoral stimulation, it was nothing but a disgrace to our fun time. As much as I would like to recommend the study buddy for everyone, it is nothing but a disappointment.

I have tried this only one more time since my last review. I still dislike it. It just doesn't have enough power for me.
