Not so pleased with the Pleaser...

The Pleaser was a bit of a disappointment. While I did appreciate it's simplicity and the fact that it is capable of extremely intense vibrations, it was just not all that exciting. It was also super noisy! Being self conscious about how much noise your vibrator is making can definitely take away from the experience. Especially when your house mates are sleeping one room over, only separated by paper thin walls...
This toy is capable of very intense vibrations
Cheap looking, Loud, Inflexible

extremely useful review

The Pleaser was a bit of a disappointment. Although this vibrator could probably be inserted vaginally, I wouldn't try it. The vibrator itself seems a little bit cheap and I am not sure how comfortable I would feel putting it inside of me. However, the packaging does say "Reversible Insert", so it's do-able.
I think this product is best used for clitoral stimulation, considering how strong the vibrations are. The vibrations are controlled with a dial, though, so there is a wide range of possible vibrations with this toy, which is a nice benefit.

Material / Texture

This plastic vibrator has a smooth gold top of about two and a half inches, with a rougher black base. The Pleaser is scent free, and made entirely of a solid, hard plastic. I personally like a vibrator with more flexibility, but for those who appreciate a vibrator with less give, the Pleaser might be a good pick. I did not pick up any scent from this vibrator, and even when put right under the nose, there is still practically no odor. The fact that this vibrator is smooth and non-porous makes her easy to clean, however, she is not water proof, so an alternative to soap and water must be found.

Design / Shape / Size

The size and shape of this toy were not problematic for me. However, I would have preferred if the Pleaser were a little bit more flexible. Despite its inflexibility, this vibrator does get the job done. It is a pretty straight toy, with a curved gold tip. This gold top is smooth (and a little bit cheesy looking), but a nicer, smoother texture than the lower portion of the vibrator. This toy is thick and kind of heavy once you put the C battery in, but pretty light weight without the battery. I would say this toy is small enough for travel, however, it does make quite a bit of noise. Another factor that I can see being problematic for some people is the amount of noise this little monster makes.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The best aspect of the Pleaser is how intense the vibrations can get. This toy functions using a dial located on the bottom half, which is pretty simple and convenient. However, the dial is very sensitive and easy to turn. This can be a little bit inconvenient, as it is prone to turning on by itself if it is being hidden in an underwear drawer, or somewhere else where it might get shifted around a little bit. Due to the fact that this dial never really clicks into place when it is off, it slides on very easily, which is probably one of it's less desirable features. Another factor that I could see being problematic for some people is the amount of noise that this little monster makes. The dial seems to rattle against the base, even when the vibrations are at their lightest. This toy is definitely not for folks who are trying to keep a secret.
    • Easy to use
    • Not very discreet

Care and Maintenance

This toy is pretty easy to care for. Although it is not water proof, wiping it down with a clean-wipe has been a sufficient method of cleaning for me. I would not try submerging this guy in water though, because it definitely wouldn't come out alive.
    • Easy to clean
Follow-up commentary
Although I initially said I didn't like this vibrator, I did change my mind after a little while. Its major faults are still there, such as the rattly noise, the fact that it is prone to turning on by itself, and its cheap look. However, its really powerful vibrations help in distracting me from its less desirable qualities. This toy is a success when it comes to a quick fix.

In most cases it seems that you get what you pay for. There are some great deals out there..(Dons Wands Bent Gradute for example) but, especially with vibrators, the cheap plastic ones just seem to be noisy disappointments. Sorry it didn't blow your mind!
