Not What I'll Be Riding Tonight

If you're looking for a cheap g-spot vibrator I would suggest looking elsewhere. Although the vibrations in the Night Rider were great the toy's design just didn't cut it.

K from MnK here!

The Night Rider G-Spot is, as the name suggests, a g-spot vibrator. It has 10 different vibration patterns so you're sure to find one you like. This toy will work great for anyone who gets off with g-spot stimulation. Because it does not have any clitoral stimulation I wouldn't suggest it if you need that type of stimulation. This toy could be used either alone or with a partner. Because it is waterproof you can bring it into the shower or bath to spice up your daily routine!

Material / Texture

This toy is made of jelly which makes it very flexible and squishy. When I first took it out of the package it was really sticky feeling so I would recommend washing it as soon as you take it out! There was also a terrible rubbery like smell to the toy. After washing it the stickiness vanished, but the smell still lingered a bit. Although the smell was not quite as strong it still left my hands smelling like rubber after handling it.

The first half of the vibrator is super smooth while the base is textured. The texture kind of reminds me of flames going up the vibrator. For me the ridges didn't add too much to the experience. If that is a feature that is drawing you towards this I wouldn't recommend buying it for that reason alone. The texture of this toy could be enjoyed by either beginners or more advanced users.

Because the jelly is a little more sticky I would recommend using lube when using it; either water based or silicone.

Design / Shape / Size

The night rider was a little bit bigger than I expected from the pictures. It has a circumference of 5" around the tip and grows to about 5 1/2" closer to the base. It is about 8" long with an insertable length of 6 1/2". If you're new to sex toys I wouldn't recommend this since it is a bit larger, I would try something a bit thinner.

Usually I get more excited to use it because it looks cute and fun but this one looked neither cute nor fun. It is simply a translucent black. The only reason I was excited to try this is because it was new.

When using it I wasn't a fan of the design. After a little while it became really uncomfortable to hold; there is not a good spot to really rest your hand on. It was difficult for me to get my hand comfortable on it; as I was trying to get a better grip the toy ended up turning so the tip wasn't facing up. There is also no way to visually tell that the toy is facing the right direction which makes it a little more difficult if using it with a partner. It was also a little hard to tell which button was the on/off switch and which was the one to change vibration pattern.

Another thing that I found to be a bad design was the location of the texture. Because this is a g-spot vibe women are going to only insert it a few inches since the g-spot is only around 2-3 inches inside the vagina. The texture begins about 3 1/2" from the tip. If they wanted the texture during g-spot stimulation they should have put it a little further up the base.

I would definitely not consider the Night Rider to be discreet it is pretty larger and if you leave it sitting out anyone is sure to know exactly what it is! It is not something that I would recommend for travel either.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Night Rider is run by two AA batteries which are inserted into the bottom of the toy. In the package there is a set of instructions that tell you to locate the type of toy you are using and use the diagram to see how to insert the batteries. The only problem is none of the diagrams look like the Night Rider! There is also nothing on the toy itself indicating which way to put batteries in! When my boyfriend and I used it for the first time he literally completely guessed which way they went in and happened to get it right. With the tip pointing away from you insert the battery on the right with the negative facing down and the battery on the right with positive facing down.

The controls are located on the bottom of the vibrator. There are two simple buttons: the on/off button and the button to change the vibrations. As I mentioned before the buttons are a difficult to tell apart without looking at them.

There are 10 vibrations to choose from:
1) High constant vibration (BZZZZZZZZ)
2) Medium constant vibration (BZZZZ)
3) Low constant vibration(Bzz)
4) Escalating pulsations (zz ZzZ ZZZ)
5) Medium quick pulsations (bz bz bz bz)
6) High quick pulsations (BZ BZ BZ BZ)
7) High very quick pulsations pulsations (BZBZBZBZBZ)
8) High long pulsations (BZZ BZZ BZZ BZZ)
9) High longer pulsations (BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ)
10) Low pulsations (bzbzbz)

The toy saves the last setting that you used before turning it off which makes it nice if you find one that you particularly like! To me the low vibrations were useless; even when you're holding it when it is on low vibrations you don't feel it too much. The vibrations were a nice blend between buzzy and rumbly.

The motor is located more toward the tip of the vibrator making the tip vibrate a lot more than the base. This is great because your hand doesn't go numb from holding it when you are using the toy.

It was pretty loud when it is turned on but when inserted the noise level decreases quite a bit. If you're concerned about someone hearing you though I probably wouldn't suggest using this.

Care and Maintenance

The Night Rider is pretty easy to clean after use. It is recommended to use warm water and toy cleaner. If you choose to use soap to clean it be sure not to use anything too strong. Jelly toys cannot be sterilized like silicone toys can so if you are planning on sharing you should use a condom over it. It's also important to only use water based or silicone lube with jelly toys like this one.

It should be stored in a cool dark place (we keep ours in a "toy box" in the closet!).
    • Easy to clean

Experience

I've never used a g-spot vibrator before and I'm not so sure that this was the best one to start out with. Although it did feel really good I just couldn't get off with it! I guess I just really need clitoral stimulation because when I took it out and used it to rub my clit I reached orgasm quite quickly. So if you're new to g-spot stimulation or want to find your g-spot I wouldn't recommend this. Also, I think it may have been a bit too long for me. When M was using it on me he stuck it in a little further than I had and it was really painful!

From M's Point of view: Since the toy is large, it was easier to use on K than other toys. Using small toys with big hands does NOT mix well. While using it on her I felt the toy wanting to turn to the right every time I inserted it. This wouldn't be a problem if there was some way of telling which way the tip was pointing. The whole toy looks exactly the same! So every now and then I had to almost take it out to see if the tip was still upright since I (obviously) can't feel where it was. I thought it would be less of a mood killer then straight out asking if it still felt good. The buttons on the bottom were no help either. When the tip is upright the buttons are slanted at an odd angle. Other than that, I think the toy is terrific! I could see the expression on her face that she was enjoying it when I used it on her. The vibrations were the perfect amount of rumbly and buzzy, they never left my hands feeling numb. The motor is located near the tip so if your partner needs clitoral stimulation, this may not be a good choice. Although you can take it out and use it externally.
Follow-up commentary
My boyfriend and I used this a couple more times, and it still isn't my favorite toy. It doesn't look attractive, which makes me look right past it when choosing a toy to use, and the smell isn't too attractive either. If you want a g-spot vibrator, there are definitely better ones out there.
