oh so close water proof vibrator

In my opinion, if you're a modern gal with a quiver for vibrators you'll be underwhelmed. My negatives may turn out to be a positive to you though.
Published:
Pros
Waterproof, position of vibrations and the colour.
Cons
The strength of the vibrations and the material.

extremely useful review
I have to admit that I gave this toy more time then I would give a first date, including hours on end of trying to reach the much-sought-after orgasm. When I first opened the box and pulled it out from the package I was surprised by how soft and bendable it was. I tend to prefer harder toys but despite that I popped in two AAA batteries (not included) and headed to my bedroom.

After turning on the vibrator, I was surprised at how quiet it was. If you were in the same room as a person, you would be able to tell what was going on. However, with the door shut my roommates would have no idea. I turned it on and started playing with the dial, which provides multiple speeds. The speed gradually increased from a very light vibration to a more moderate level. After playing with it for a while and getting wetter and wetter, I went to turn it up and found that it could not get any higher. I was really close to orgasm but unfortunately the fun vibes could not give me enough juice to get me off.

I tried multiple positions, fucking myself with it hard and soft, various fantasies, insertion, clit-only stimulation and even other toys. However, in the end, no matter what I did, it simply did not have enough power to finish the job. It worked as a secondary stimulation but not as the leading role.

The fun vibes splash is made out of TPR silicone, which is a rubber based silicone. You can tell from the feel, which does feel a bit rubbery however the smell is faint. The positive side of TPR silicone is it's phthalates-free and non-porous [Editor's note: TPR is still somewhat porous]. On the negative side is that it cannot be sterilized like 100% silicone, which means putting on a condom if you are going to be sharing. Another important aspect is keep this vibrator away from silicone based lubricants and stick with water-based.

The fun splash did have some positive aspects of it though- the vibrations are at the top of the vibrator which gives you more strength than if it was at the base. Another advantage is it's waterproof, and it held up perfectly in the shower and bath. In terms of cleaning up after playing, the fun vibes can easily cleaned with toy cleaner, or mild soap and water. I had no problems cleaning it after use and having the toy being waterproof made it easy.

Overall, the fun vibes splash just didn't do it for me. I tried it with a partner, playing solo and in multiple locations including the shower, bath, bedroom and even at a play party. When combined with other toys, it is an addition but not my favourite. It's simply to small for me to fill me up in the way that I desire but it works well with making ropes vibrate if you have someone tied up. It will just remain as a teasing toy to me. Unfortunately, it will stay at towards the bottom of my toy bag.
Experience
Unfortunately, this toy can't be used anally due to it not having a flared based but besides that, I tried it in almost every way I could think of. After exhausting myself with it, my partner went with me to a local kink night and after playing I asked him to make me cum with it.

I was tied on a spanking bench, spread open slightly and after an intense scene of clothes pins and flogging, I was already soaking wet. He placed the vibrator on my clit and started to try to make me cum. I had to beg him to press it harder and harder to really feel the vibrations. I was really close to cumming multiple times and it did the job of getting me more excited but in the end no matter how hard he or I tried, I couldn't cum.

We finally gave up and went back to using other methods, which of course was mind blowing but I really wanted to be pushed over the edge with the fun splash. Can't say that we didn't try though.
Follow-up commentary
Unfortunately since my original review of the silicone fun vibes splash my opinion hasn't changed. I've tried to use it a couple more times, however it has simply left me disappointed. It's now simply taking up space at the bottom of my storage container. I needed a more powerful vibe and I prefer materials that can be sterilized like glass, metal and 100% silicone. It was still fun testing it out but this toy simply isn't for me.

Motors in the tip are awesome, and those ridges look amazing.  AAA batteries often just don't cut it, though. :(

You're so right, Dame Demi. Whenever I see 2 AAAs, I try not to get my hopes up. Especially with a material like TPR silicone, which doesn't carry vibration as well as something made of plastic would.

It was a good learning experience. I tend to only stick to pure silicone toys, wood, glass etc. It was my first time trying out the TPR silicone.

Guess next time I will have more realistic expectations.

    Dame demi,

The ridges weren't even that mentionable to be honest. I found the toy really slim so it didn't make that much of a difference to me. If the toy was harder, the ridges would of had more of an impact.

I just had a relatively unexciting experience with another one of Pipedream's TPR silicone toys. It's a real shame that this vibe isn't more fun; it certainly looks pretty.

It's too bad the TPR silicone doesn't work out better because it is nice to use that over some other materials. My experience with that material hasn't really included vibrator use with it. Great review!

It does look nice, which is why I'll keep it out and maybe use it with some other toys once in awhile. It would be nice if it worked out better but the review process was fun at least.

Anyone make a vibrating glass toy yet? I keep thinking that would be nice.

If they ever make a vibrating glass toy I would love to be the first one to try it.

How does it feel in the bath? Easy to use? I love silicone lube for bath play but since this is a TPR silicone toy, ugh...

To be honest I didn't really enjoy it in the bath, it held up okay. It didn't leak but it just wasn't the right toy for me.

The vibe is easy to use with a turn dial style. It never switched vibrations on me, which is always a plus.

Yes, definitely keep it away from the silicone lube, I love using silicone lube in the shower as well but unfortunately most of my toys are silicone.
