My first impression when I unpacked the Onyx was, "It's so shiny!" It appeared heavy, but when I lifted it, it wasn't. I powered it on, and the control panel, On/off, +, - lit up blue. It was very powerful but not noisy. I noticed the handle was ergonomic and had a padded grip with some texture. That's good, so it won't slip since it has so much power. The + button had 3 settings—Low, which was already powerful, medium, and high.

I pressed the on/off button (middle one), and it nearly jumped out of my hand. I hit the + button to see if the intensity would increase in the patterns. It didn't, but the rumbles were already super strong. I compared it to my ancient corded Hitachi, and Onyx was stronger. Hitachi was also much, much louder. I also noticed whenever powered off, it would restart at the beginning. It won't restart at the previous pattern.
