The Beehive arrived safe and sound within 4 days of ordering and came in see-through packaging. The Beehive is from a Japanese toy maker called VibrateX and seems like a solidly made toy. My Beehive is a pretty purple color and had very little odor upon first opening the package. I was also pleasantly surprised at its 9 inch long size and 1 and 1/2 inch width with 6 and 1/2 inches being insertable. It took 3 AA batteries that were not included to power a very aggressive motor. I have found that this toy will not drain batteries like most toys do.

The Beehive's contour can be broken down into 4 stages. The first part starts with a 2 and 1/4 inch long control base that has two slide controllers...the right is for your vibration and the left is for the oscillation. I need to say a little about the vibration to this toy. Most toys start with a mild to low hum and will work up to a nice intense vibration. Well, the Beehive starts with what seems to be a high vibration and ends with a numbing, toe-curling vibration...it's like a swarm of mad hornets discovering where the honeypot is! Those are the only two setting Beehive has and trust me they will be all you need. The next 2 and 1/2 inches is the plastic casing where your motor is, which is covered by the start of the purple sleeve and has an ornate design pattern in the rubber. The final part is a 2 inch long X 1 1/2 thick head in the shape of a beehive (hence its name). The head is where this powerful motor is located and offers the strongest vibration internally when fully inserted, which feels out of this world. The Beehive is made from a material called Elastomer which is a strechable polymer and is soft to the touch and feels like cyberskin or other brands that are "lifelike". Elastomer toys cannot be disinfected with boiling water so you can wash them with warm water and toy cleaner or mild soap. I cleaned mine with warm water and air dried, also, it's silicone or water based lubricant safe.

Due to it being rubber, or as they call it Elastomer, I have found that it does have a tendency to collect lint, hair and dust particles if its been sitting for any spell so rinse it down before using.
