The Waterproof Platinum Edition Butterfly Kiss is another lovely vibrator from Cal Exotics. The waterproof feature makes it an excellent choice to be enjoyed in the tub or shower. The material for the Butterfly Kiss is TPR, which rates a 7 on Eden's Material Safety Scale. Although, it may not be a food-grade material, it’s hypo-allergenic, latex free, and a phthalates free material. The texture of it is mainly smooth with some texture on the butterfly itself, to help stimulate and small heart shapes. I think the material was comfortable. I didn't notice much of a smell to i,t but I did notice the box says it’s unscented and body safe. The toy was flexible yet firm. The product page states that it is considered less porous than Cyberskin, but more porous than Silicone.

This toy has a dual-stimulation design. The beautiful colors to choose from are pink, blue or purple. The shape is unique with a bigger bulb on the end and a butterfly design that is meant to focus on the clitoris. The shaft part was not long enough to hit my g-spot directly, but might be just perfect for others. Overall, I won’t say it’s discreet because it does look like a vibe, yet it’s small enough to be easy to hide and suitable for travel. The platinum on this vibe is just a silver lining I suppose for decorative purposes.

This Butterfly Kiss isn't too noisy, and performs well. The toy has an easy push button at the end of the piece, to get you started right away. The vibration is felt throughout the shaft. The vibe uses 2 AAA batteries, which are not provided with the toy. This toy features 9 variations in vibration; pulsation and escalation. To turn toy off, you have to go through the entire nine vibrations. The vibrations are neither buzzing nor give a rumbling sensation.

This toy’s material is TPR, which is considered porous. The product page states that TPR toys cannot be disinfected with boiling water. Instead, wash your toy with mild soap and warm water. You may also use a toy cleaner to clean it. Make sure it’s completely dry before you put it away. If you want to share your toys though; I always recommend the use of toy covers or condoms. This toy can be used with water or silicone based lubes.

The carton-like packaging was of no use to me, so I just threw it away. It did come with instructions for the batteries, but it really wasn't necessary. The front of the packaging has a picture of the toy. I usually store my toys in a Ziploc back. This toy, in particular, tends to stick to the sides of the bag like crazy, though.

I enjoyed my experience with the Butterfly Kiss. I was glad it was 100% waterproof, and that I could use it in the shower, as well as the bedroom. I headed for the bath; checked afterwards for any leakage, and it didn’t have any. The button part of the toy looks like water may seep through, but none did. I did have to use lube with this toy and had to insert it slowly, because it had a definite drag. I didn’t even notice the noise while I was in there, so I doubt anybody else would have. I have come to find out something about myself, and that is I need all the vroom I can get. This toy, to me, was too mild on the power for me to really orgasm.
