Power-packed turbo-powered mediocrity

I honestly just wasn't very impressed with this toy. The price is right, but Alexa's double exciters fail to excite.
Published:
Pros
Multi-speed control dials, controls not on the vibes = no butterfingers, two is better than one
Cons
Pretty loud, eats up batteries, packaging turned me off

At first glance I was not very excited about Alexa’s double action exciters. The packaging is pretty tacky and its all-caps promises of power-packed turbo-powered excitement didn’t evoke sexy action so much as action figures and remote control robot cars. These particular design choices, along with the leopard-print-lingerie-clad model (the Alexa, Wicked Girl™ of the toy’s name, I presume) on the cover, suggest to me that this toy is packaged with men in mind and marketed to them. That’s not a bad thing per se but it certainly took me by surprise and, as a budget- and socially-minded shopper, does not make me feel like the company that manufactures this toy is one in which I want to invest my scant disposable income.

But don’t judge a book by its cover, right? Even less so a sex toy. This toy, which requires four AA batteries, feels surprisingly solid in my hands relative to the cheap packaging and very affordable price tag. It consists of a controller pack with two individual multi-speed dials that independently control the two vibrators wired to it. These are both mushroom-shaped hard plastic (phthalate free!) larger variations on a basic bullet-style vibe with accentuated heads, both roughly 1” in diameter and respectively 3” and 4.5” long.

The design of this toy – that is, two totally independent vibrators that can be controlled from somewhere not on the vibrator itself – allows for some pretty exciting combinations. I had a rocking solo orgasm by using the larger one on my clit, labia and the entrance to my vagina as I usually do and propping the smaller one up against my asshole. As a note, I would not recommend using this for penetrative anal play as neither vibrator has a flared base to keep it from getting lost. The wires seem pretty solidly attached and in a pinch might do for fishing out a stray vibe, but I wouldn’t risk it. The vibrations themselves are surprisingly powerful for such a small toy, but the downside is that it’s fairly loud and has a pretty unsexy rattle to it.

I’ve been fairly harsh on this toy but, as I mentioned, it does dish out its orgasmic dues. It’s a nice alternative to a bullet vibe with its multi-variable speed control and all in all is an okay vibe for a great price (although if it was your main toy, replacing those four AA batteries would get pretty expensive if the other reviewers are right about the battery life). I don’t expect I’ll be returning to it, although I've only tried it for masturbation. Maybe with a partner...
