Jenna's velvet jewels royal - traditional vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by KnK

Pretty, Pretty Princess...I Mean Vibrator. Oops!

This pretty little toy is rated 18+ but is suitable for players of all experience levels. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and incredibly smooth and velvety to the touch. It's got great vibrations and does a decent job of stimulating the g-spot for its price. It's not earth-shattering, but that doesn't make this little sweetheart any less fun to play with.

Use

When I saw this vibrator, I fell in love at first sight. It was so adorable, I just couldn’t resist it. I had extremely limited knowledge about vibrators at the time, but when I noticed it was in Jenna Jameson’s line, I looked to her for advice. I couldn't help thinking, “Well, she knows a lot about vaginas, so it's probably good.” Fortunately, I'm glad I looked to this vagina expert because I've been very pleased with my experience.

This little jewel is a lovely and inexpensive addition to the treasure chest. It's crafted for vaginal penetration and G-spot teasing. It is simple and safe, and it is not intimidating. This makes it a good toy for all levels of users.

It can be used to stimulate the clitoris or nipples as well. Anal use is not intended for this toy due to its lack of a flared base.

Material / Texture

This disco stick is made of hard plastic, and is covered in a luxurious velvety coating. Ah, the texture of this beauty is glorious. It’s just as soft as advertised. If you’re anything like me, you won’t want to stop touching it. The texture feels great on the nether regions. It slides smoothly on most places, however, if rubbed up against the genitals, using lubricant is suggested.

The control for the vibrations is of hard plastic and has the same velvety material, but if you're not looking carefully, it can go unnoticed.

It has no smell or taste initially, however, after repeated washing it may pick up a faint soapy smell or taste.

Jenna's Jewel is a plastic toy that is non-porous and phthalate-free. It is easily sterilized with antibacterial soap and hot water, or by rubbing it down with Isopropyl alcohol. It is waterproof, however I've never submerged it in water while cleaning it. I generally rub it down with anti-bacterial soap and rinse off with water. The suggested lubricants for this toy are water, oil, or silicone.

Design / Shape / Size

The jewel is about 6.5” overall, while the insertable length is about 5.5" with a diameter of 1 1/4." It is a simple design which narrows in the middle and mushrooms towards the tip. It's thickest at the base, which is only slightly larger than the head. This toy is suitable for users of any experience level.

It has two lovely rows of fake jewels which are very well secured in place at the base. I've had this toy for months and none of them have popped out, which was a concern of mine because it is very low in price.

It's definitely travel-friendly, provided that you take the batteries out, so the batteries won't corrode and also so you can save yourself embarrassment. This toy has nothing to keep the dial that controls the vibration settings in place. It is very easy for this toy to accidentally turn itself on.

It can be slipped in a purse pocket to keep out of sight. I actually did so during the summer when visiting a friend. My parents were helping me unpack, so all private items went in the purse.

If seen, unless the person has never approached puberty or is extremely gullible, they're going to know it's a sex toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations are felt throughout the entire body of the toy. The vibrations are great, but at the higher end of intensity, it becomes loud and shrill.

The controls are extremely easy to use. The vibrations are controlled by twisting a dial at the end of the base.In this case, it's not righty-tighty, lefty-loosey, it's actually the opposite.

The only issue I have with the design is that if you're really starting to get into the moment, it's easy to accidentally move the vibration setting higher or lower than intended, because the control is located where you're supposed to hold it.

A nice bonus is that this little jeweled companion is waterproof. It’s lovely for shower play, especially if you’re in a place where you don’t get a lot of privacy; i.e. if you still live at home, have roommates, live in a dorm, or have thin walls.

Care and Maintenance

It's fairly simple to clean, but sometimes, ahem, bodily fluids get trapped between the body and the base, especially around the o-ring (which is there to make it waterproof). If you're cleaning it, you might want to untwist the bottom first; but in doing so, water can get caught in the cavity, which really isn't too much of an issue. Just clean it and make sure you dry it fully so you don't encounter problems with mold or batteries later.

I store this beauty in my dresser drawer near my panties, or underneath bras. If I bring it out of town, it stays hidden in my purse.

This toy is fine to use with lubricants or condoms and if you want your body to become play central, please feel free to use a bullet as well. The Jewel is easy enough to use by itself that it's not too difficult to get the other hand involved too.

Personal comments

It's a great toy for players of all ages, and is especially friendly for beginners. If you're looking for girth or more depth, you might want to get a different toy. It's great at tickling the G-spot, but I didn't personally get an orgasm from it, although it certainly got me close. It's great for foreplay or if you simply want a feeling of fullness when focusing on clitoral play. I personally tend to use a bullet along with this vibe.
Follow-up commentary
This was my first vibrator, so I will always have fond feelings for it. I still take this toy out from time to time, although I use it for something that I actually tell you not to do in my review. I admit that I use this toy for anal, but only because I am a beginner and I know that my ass can't eat this up. I don't indulge in anal very often, precisely because I feel bad using this toy for anal and I still haven't gotten a nice anal toy. It is also probably because, every time I have bum playtime, it feels like my butt cherry gets broken in again. I, of course, am intelligent enough to wrap this baby up before it goes in my bum, especially because it sometimes still gets to play in the pussy.

I also generally don't use it with batteries. Recently, I've been leaning more towards dildos, in general.
