Pulsating Goddess

Elune is a pleasant clitoral massager that is gentle, yet effective. The pulsating membrane delivers exquisite sensations in 6 modes. This toy is easy to store and doesn't even look like a sex toy. It's not super loud and can easily pass as a facial cleansing brush and fit in your toiletry bag.

First impression

I love clitoral stimulators and am always curious about any new technology out there that will bring my clit fresh sensations. When I came across Elune, I could say that in terms of sex toys, I had never seen anything quite like it. But in the back of my mind, I thought this toy looked like something I had seen before. I couldn't help but think this clitoral massager looks very much like a facial cleansing brush! I'd been wanting one of those fancy exfoliating facial massagers and was seriously tempted to see if I could re-purpose the sex toy but figured it might not be the most sanitary...

Packaging
Elune was shipped in a plain brown box. Inside, was the toy presented in a plain white box.

Contents of the box

Elune was sitting in a plastic container and came with a magnetic charging cord. No instructions were included, but the operation of the toy seemed pretty simple as there are only two buttons. The top button lets you cycle through the different pulsation modes and the bottom button is the on/off switch.

Up close

I was really fascinated by the texture of the silicone membrane. The little nodules looked like they would provide a lot of stimulation and I was excited to pamper my clitoris with my new massager.

First Use

Elune was ready to go as I was, seeming to come pre-charged out of the box. The first thing I did was power on the toy and click through the various pulsation modes. The way the membrane pulses is so cool! You can really see it fluctuating and visually, it looked pretty intense.

Elune

I tried this toy solo and centered the soft silicone membrane over my clit. Then, I turned on the toy and laid back as I tried to comprehend the sensation I was feeling down there. It was definitely new and exciting. The pulsations start off light and gradually become stronger. There are three continuous pulsation modes that increase in speed/intensity and the rest are patterns. I tend to prefer steady vibration and at the third and highest continuous mode, I felt that it wasn't as strong as I would've liked it to be. Overall, the pulsations felt great but weren't enough to get me to climax. Perhaps it would be better as a warm-up before sex or purely just a massage.

Further Experience

After adding Elune to my toybox, I noticed that it actually did look somewhat similar to my Satisfyer Pro.

Comparison to Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation

Both toys are comparable in size and unique functionality. So far, I prefer the air-pulsation from my Satisfyer Pro 2 but the pulsations from Elune are still quite nice. Maybe it's not exactly a fair comparison. The Satisfyer Pro 2 has a much wider range of programs that can even be too intense for some. If you prefer milder vibrations, Elune may be a better choice if you're considering a pulsating toy. The other thing to note is that the Satisfyer Pro 2 stimulates the clit without actually touching it, whereas Elune does make light contact with the clit as it is a massager.

I tried adding other toys to use in combination with Elune during my next session. I wore a small butt plug and inserted a vibrating egg while I massaged my clit with Elune. This combination of stimulation all over really spiced things up this time. Although it did take a bit longer to get there, I actually did enjoy the slow build-up and eventually reached orgasm. I think I started out with the mindset that Elune would give me quick and instant orgasms, but when I took a step back and patiently let Elune massage my clit, I found it quite relaxing and effective.

Vibration Map

Elune has six vibration patterns which can be strongly felt in the center of the silicone membrane. It's hard to describe the sensation this toy delivers as it doesn't exactly vibrate, but rather pulsates. It may be almost comparable to some form of pressure wave technology but doesn't attempt to mimic sucking and is really more of a massage, similar to a tongue or fingers tapping on the clit. The vibrations don't really travel down the handle so no need to worry about your hand getting all tingly.
  • Very mild, low level vibration
  • Moderate vibration
  • Strong and easily felt vibration

Orgasm Intensity

My orgasms have been quite pleasant, but nothing crazy with this toy. I wish it were a bit stronger and I had trouble figuring out the best way to make it work for me during the first few attempts. I found that I was applying to much pressure and it helps to lightly let the membrane tickle your clit so there is enough space for the membrane to pulsate with full motion. I also had more success when I paired this with another (insertable) toy and figure this would also work well for couples play during intercourse.
