Satin touch - traditional vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Taylor

The Satin Touch is a small traditional vibrator that can be used either internally or externally. The vibrations travel throughout the toy and with the small tip you can either lay it flat to stimulate a large part of the vulva or use the point to have a more pinpoint stimulation. It is very thin, about 5/8 of an inch in diameter, in fact. Because it is so thin it might be a good choice for those who are nervous about inserting a toy because it is unlikely to cause much discomfort.

Satin Touch is made of hard plastic so it should be compatible with any type of lube. Since it is plastic, there isn't any give at all to it and it is very rigid. It has a velvety texture and has a little bit of a drag to it, which I like especially when I'm going to be using lube because it doesn't get nearly as slippery. About an inch and a half from the tip of the toy there is a seam which is more of a smooth plastic and is raised a bit. I didn't find the seam to be uncomfortable but some people may.

I really liked the size of the Satin Touch. It is small and discreet and basically just looked like a big ballpoint pen. Because of this, it is a great vibe to just stow away and not worry that someone will know what it is at first glance. Its small size is also an advantage if you are new to insertion and are worried about using a larger toy. Satin Touch is very unintimidating in that respect and can be used for insertion by anyone.

The vibrations in the Satin Touch are concentrated in the tip of the toy. They do radiate through the whole toy, but they are much, much stronger in the tip. This makes it is great for clit stimulation.

It says that the Satin Touch has two powerful speeds. Now I agree that especially for its size that the power is pretty strong. The problem I had was that I couldn't distinguish between the two speeds. If they are at all different, it is very slight and probably would have been better if they had been at different intensities.

Another issue I had with the toy was with the on/off button. It's simple enough to understand, just press the button to cycle through the settings. My issue was that if you even barely touched the button the vibrator would turn off until you had your finger completely off of the button. A less sensitive button would have been a lot less frustrating during play.

It's a pretty easy toy to care for. It's plastic, so lube is not going to be an issue, as any type will be compatible. It's pretty easy to clean, but be careful with washing it as it's not waterproof. Antibacterial soap, toy cleaner, or a bleach solution would all work to wash it with, just don't let any get inside the toy!
