Ladies, be sure to note that this toy takes four AAA batteries. If unfamiliar with the battery space on the shaft, you need to pull out the segment so that you can slip the other two directly behind the two you will most likely insert first. The battery filled segment snaps in as easily as it came out. Don't worry, I made the same mistake.
