A bullet is a bullet is a bullet...or is it? When talking about bullets for guns or vibrating bullets for some intimate fun, they come in many sizes, shapes, colors, speeds and efficacy. The "Short N Sweet" by Doc Johnson is a multi-speed, multi-pattern small bullet vibrator. The control panel measures 3" X 1" and is connected to the 1" X 1/2" bullet by a 24.5" narrow plastic cord. At the point of in insertion into the bullet there is a small gasket intended to make the bullet safe for water play. It is loose and does not appear that it will retain its waterproof claims very long. The control box is not waterproof.

The control box is "wavy" and very comfortable to hold. I use my thumb to control the on/off and speed/pattern buttons. The thumb just naturally slides into the groove and the 4 fingers stay in place on the underside. The plastic material is very smooth so when lube gets on it, you will appreciate that the box is not flat. Doc Johnson describes the color as "fushia" but we would describe it as more of a pearlized hot pink. It is a very pretty color and finish.

The batteries are not included. I want you to know this so you'll be prepared. There is nothing worse than getting a new vibrator in the mail and not being able to use it immediately! There are days you just don't want to get up and out the door for batteries. There is only one way around that...and his name is Me. These fingers were made for more than walking through the "Yellow Pages! It's nice to be reminded that us men are still useful for something. We still come in handy. I like to be reassured now and then!!

The best feature on the control panel is the on/off button. Easy. Press once for on, press again for off. There is another button that controls the speed and patterns. This button is also very easy to use. Unlike a simple on/off choice the speed/pulsation button has to cycle through every speed and pattern. If you are using the vibe and decide to change either (or both) the speed or pattern you do not know what is coming up next and how many times you will need to continue pressing the button to reach the desired spot. Once there, if you decide to change it up again there is a long cycle pattern again. This is both distracting as well as annoying. I need to deduct one star because of this definite interference with use.

The tiny bullet is powerful and has 8 different patterns and 2 dipperent speeds. You can control either speed or pattern but you can not control both. So, if you find a pattern you enjoy but want more speed, you are out of luck. The surface of the bullet is smooth and not textured. For its size and only using 2 AAA batteries it offers surprisingly strong vibrations. We find it easy to keep a stock of AAA, AA and 9V batteries in the house at all times. Luckily, our local hardware chain ofers batteries as a free give-a-way every holiday season.

The bullet and control are made of plastic. It is non-porous and easy to clean. Some hot water (not so hot that you burn yourself), antibacterial soap (liquid dish detergent) and a washcloth is all you need. Remove the batteries before cleaning and do not immerse the controller in water. Be sure to completely dry before re-insertting the batteries. I always recommend using a condom for the bullet if you plan to share.

Plastic is rated an 8 out of 10 on EF's safety scale. It is compatible with water, silicone and oil based lubes. We prefer silicone lube because we find water lubes to "gum up" pretty quickly. It is nice having a choice so whatever you like and have on hand will work.

This little buddy has power and variety. While probably not enough for "power queens" it should be enough to get most women off. It is also small enough so that it can easily be inserted into a Fleshlight case or used to stimulate the perineaum area. I do not enjoy vibrations, but many men do and the compactness of this vibe makes it perfect for them.

The Mrs. uses this vibe solo and we use it together. I would prefer something that does not have the cord attatched because it limits how we can use the bullet and either I have both hands on the vibrator (to keep the bullet in place and control it) or the Mrs. has to hold the bullet in place. For solo that is fine but when we are together I like to be able to hold on to her and feel more intimate than I do when I have to play with a toy.

Although the bullet is powerful, its tiny size makes it unsatifactory as a muscle massager.

Since we got this, we have ordered the new medium SmartWand and it has become the Mrs. absolute favorite. She says she will never want or use anything else. We have read preliminary information on the large SmartWand and think that would be too big and heavy for our desires. The medium SmartWand by Lelo is number one in our book. For those women who like bullets, this is still a great choice.
