G-spot vibrator discontinued

So Incredibly Good; So Horribly Flawed.

The G-Spot Caress does one job and it does it well - it targets, hits, and vibrates the hell out of your G-spot. It does this breathtakingly well, and despite some major design flaws is worthy of a place in any toy collection.
Published:
Pros
A precisely designed, easy to use G-spot targeting device.
Cons
An unfortunately chosen rubber tip with associated difficult to clean seam, end pops off in use.

Use

The G-Spot Caress is...wow...how to describe it...

The G-Spot Caress is astounding, put succinctly. I have longed for a vibrator that can firmly vibrate on my G-spot - and this is it. To be fair, I am a fan of the G-spot vibration and often enjoy it without added clitoral stimulation, so I do not ask that the G-Spot Caress hit my clit as well (it doesn't), it it could, to a woman whose clit sits low. But none of that matters, because the G-spot caress hits my G-spot with firm, unerring accuracy. Imperfections aside (and there are many), let me just state - I will take this vibrator and I will love it with all my heart – but I'm settling. This does its job fantastically, but it could be made so much better.

Material / Texture

The G-Spot Caress is made of velvet cote plastic - smooth, luxurious, velvet cote plastic. But - it also has a rubber tip.

This is rather confusing for me. Supposedly the rubber is smoother and slipperier when wet. And it is, and that's just super, but the toy is designed to nestle onto the G-spot, not rub back and forth on it. And even if rubbing were your thing (and hey, more power to you), the place where the rubber is is not really optimal for use.

Anyways, all that aside, the rubber tip is rather slick when wet. I'm not sure that it's any sort of bonus the design, however.

Design / Shape / Size

The G-Spot Caress is smaller than you probably think it is – it's smaller than my palm (plus fingers), and it's only like an inch in diameter at its widest point, being up to half the width otherwise. The small size makes it pretty easy hide away. This toy is really suitable for anyone looking for a specifically gspot vibrator - it his the G-spot so easily that it's very user friendly.

The thing that is so darned special about the G-Spot Caress is the fact that the G-spot bean (brilliant in its own right) is affixed firmly at a right angle to the handle. This makes for easy manipulation of the vibrator in the range of motions one will use to target the G-spot. The bean shaped tip is fabulous - it provides a nestling surface, and two prodding points that can be used to massage the G-spot in different ways and that hit over a broad range, guaranteeing that the G-spot will be hit regardless of its depth/positioning.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The G-Spot Caress takes two AAA batteries, which slot in in an alignment indicated in the cap of the battery compartment. The cap simply pops off for access to the battery compartment. The vibrations turn on and off by a simple push button on the end of the handle. The vibrations are potent - around the intensity one would expect for a good quality "two AAA" motor. Noise wise as well, the vibrator is fairly standard, like an electric toothbrush or electric razor.

In use, the fatal flaw in this toys design is revealed - the cap simply pops off unless its held just so, and not clenched too tight. Now, I don't know about you, but I am a bit clumsy when I masturbate, so this was a serious issue for me. The thing is, I love this toy so much, I'm willing to overlook this major flaw and use it despite that (with the aid of duct tape, of course).

Care and Maintenance

So here's the thing. Velvet cote plastic is pretty tough stuff - you can 10% bleach bathe it to achieve a nice degree of sanitization. Rubber, not so much. So, this is a one person toy, and should be cleaned well before and after use with soap and water, with special attention being paid to the seam between the rubber and plastic. On my toy, this seam has a big hole/flaw in it, which is annoying to wash. But let me reiterate - this toy is worth it.

Packaging

This toy comes in oversize plastic packaging that was not too garish, and instructions that were adequate. Nothing worth keeping, in either case.

Personal comments

With my personal anatomy, the G-spot Caress hit my G-spot with dead on accuracy. Once it was in place, I was able to pull upwards easily to get really firm vibration. I've never had the pleasure of having such firm, targeted vibration on my G-spot for so little effort. And no, it's nowhere near my clit, but that's ok, I don't have quite enough room to get at my clit with a my Hitachi while the G-Spot Caress is working my G-spot, but I can certainly get in there with smaller vibrators or my fingers no problem. The challenge, really, is avoiding having that end pop off.
Follow-up commentary
The Gspot caress remains an item ove which I am torn - the shape and the vibrational abilities are the tops, but the rubber tip is....ug. Ultimately this is not a toy that has earned a permanent spot in my toy box because of the damning material flaw.

Thanks for the review. It's surprising they left a seam at an inconvenient location.

I love mine, too. And, thankfully, my cap doesn't pop off.

I do wish they'd left off the rubber, though, and just made this thing all plastic.

Wonderful review! Sounds like a great toy, even with its flaws.

I had one thought about that rubber. Maybe it's there to make the tip slipperier to make insertion easier? I know that I've often heard complaints about g-spot toys being difficult to insert, but heavenly once in place. Perhaps this is the reasoning behind the rubber tip? (regardless of whether it really does so or not)

Ugh what a frustrating design flaw, especially when it's part of a toy that seems to actually work so well on the whole! Thanks for the thorough review. Smile

It looks so much bigger than it is, great review

Try a Fun Factory Share and use the pony end to get almost an identical shape, with no cleaning difficulty.

Why, oh why, did they not just make this completely from plastic or, even better, from silicone?

I'm wishlisting this. If I get it, I'll order condoms to avoid problems with that damnable hole/seam between the rubber and plastic.

@antipova this is smaller, and more targeted, for me anyways, than the share. And it vibrates
