The Ripple is a traditional vibrator that is flexible and capable of being bent in any direction. I didn't find any pleasure in this, though. I'm not sure why bending would make the product any more or less pleasurable seeing as the vibrations aren't up to par. The toy is unable to really press against any target areas inside the vagina because the give to the flexibility is so weak. It doesn't take much pressure to move the shaft around, but the shaft can be bent impressively far.

This toy is meant to be inserted into the vagina, but it does work on the nipples quite well. The light vibrations feel good, but I doubt a person would buy this vibe just for that purpose. It also might be possible to insert the toy anally, but I haven't tried to do that. This isn't the best clitoral vibe either, so either you like the weak vibrations with the unique ripples inside you or you need a different vibe.

This toy is definitely not discreet. Its penis-shaped head is a dead giveaway to what this is. This toy is also not your ideal toy to be traveling with because the turn dial at the base is so sensitive, making the toy easy to turn on if bumped just slightly.

The Ripple is made of jelly and hard plastic. The jelly material covers the outside of the shaft with the exception of the control dial and lid to the battery pack. When I first got this toy, it stunk. I've had the toy for a year now, and it still smells, and the smell is as strong as it was the day I got it. It doesn't smell through anything I store it in, but it's definitely noticable once you take it out. Since this toy is jelly, it can only be cleaned with soap and water, alcohol wipes, or toy cleaner.

The texture of the Ripple is smooth, but the actual ripples come in uneven patterns. The ripples actually do feel nice when inserted into the vagina, especially when it is thrust in. The jelly material is very squishy and soft. I did use lube for this toy as it was too thick for me in the beginning, but I have since stretched to fit it properly. I used a water-based lubricant that EF does not supply.

The toy itself is 8" in length with an insertable length of 7". It has a dial-base and a rippled, penis-shaped shaft with a penis-like head. It is a bright yellow but transparent. It's possible to see into the shaft and see the long, vibrating, bendable tube. You can also see into the battery pack. The fact that you can see inside the toy through gross, murky, yellow jelly is off-putting.

As I said in the Material/Texture section, this toy was too big for me in the beginning. I bought this toy when I was still a beginner, but it was way too big for me. Prolonged use with other toys has made this toy a little more enjoyable to use, but that's a bit of a stretch to say since the vibrations are still so weak. This is not the ideal toy for g-spot stimulation; even though it can bend, the toy still does not provide accurate stimulation to the g-spot without frustratingly adjusting positions.

The dial that controls the speed of the vibrations turns too easily, so it is easily turned on if bumped. The vibrations are weak and have a range from low to medium low. For a cheap looking vibe, however, the noise level is whisper quiet. You wouldn't be able to hear this thing under a sheet - let alone bed covers.

The vibrations gradually get higher as the dial turns. At its max setting, the toy makes a barely audible hum. The vibrations travel all the way up the shaft which is a good feature. Like I've said before, they're barely there. Turn the dial in the opposite direction, and the toy's vibrations slow then stop completely when the toy turns off. The batteries are inserted at the base. Simply unscrew the cap at the bottom (right below where the turn dial is), and insert the two AAs.

The toy should be cleaned with warm water and soap, toy cleaner, or alcohol wipes. To store the toy, put it in a cool, dry place and separate from your other toys to avoid materials reacting to each other, as oftentimes jelly toys like to do.

I've only used the toy with water-based lubricant, so that's what I recommend using with this toy. It's up to you if you would like to use it with a condom, but I never have.

My overall experience with this toy was a bad one. I was talked into it by a rabbit-hating saleswoman at my local (sketchy) sex shop. I do like the color, and I like how quiet it is, but it isn't what I need, and that's what disappoints me the most. I wanted a vibrator that would fill me, and it did that but painfully. I wanted a go-to vibrator, and this definitely wasn't it.
