Waterproof micro stimulator - traditional vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by AK Bunny

The Waterproof Micro Stimulator had a few pleasant surprises for me. I was excited to get it out of the package and explore a new toy. When I put the batteries in it, I was shocked by how strong the vibrations were! With the toy as 'micro' as it is, I didn't expect so much power! It doesn't have a rumble. It is more of a fast buzz. Even with that, I found it pleasant around my nipples, around my labia, and my clit. This toy would also work great during sex for a little extra stimulation as it is small. Because of the attached string, if you accidentally let go of it in your ecstacy, the toy will simply buzz around your wrist. Even though it has a handy-dandy string, I wouldn't recommend trying the toy inside you vaginally or anally. Doing that could create some very awkward moments.

Once turned on, the toy was easy to slide over my skin. That left my other free to work its own magic. This was a fun addition, but I need a little more to reach my climax. That's when things became tricky. I noticed, with my other hand occupied, I had a very difficult time changing the vibration setting with one hand. To change the vibrations, you simply twist on the small dial at the bottom and move it up or down as desired. It sounds easy, but the end is stiff and doing that one-handed can be a hassle. Maybe it will improve with use, but every time I wanted it a little stronger or softer I had to stop what I was doing to adjust it. My recommendations with this toy is to use it as a warmup with both hands, and set the vibrations where you want it before you go on to add more stimulation with your other hand.

The toy is virtually silent as well. I'm amazed by that every time I turn it on! I have roommates and can use this in total confidence. This would also be a great toy for dorms because of its quiet and mini nature, even with those super thin walls.

This Waterproof Micro Stimulator is made out of a hard plastic. This gives the toy a few perks. First, it doesn't dampen any vibrations like some of the thicker coated vibes. That also means it is essentially odorless and makes it fairly easy to clean. Being easy to clean has always been a big concern for me and being waterproof definitely helps. The stimulator is hypo-allergenic, latex free and phthalates free. This is a plus. The toy is smooth from the tip to the twist end. The twist end is slightly larger in diameter, but it is also smooth except for the dial. This didn't really do anything to add to the pleasure for me nor take it away. The ridge is right about where I hold it, so using it to stimulate isn't very easy. Some might be able to work it out, but it was just awkward for me. Otherwise, there are no textures to the toy. I don't mind this in a clit stimulator. The toy is see through with a pink tint to it, and it is pretty cute if you ask me. I wish it didn't have the battery markings etched on the inside. While it is easily hidden, it would be pretty obvious what it is once found. There are no seams along the toy, with the exception of the screw cap end. I don't find this hard to clean.

I measured the toy at 2 5/8 inches long and 3/4 of an inch around. It is a little shorter than the original description but certainly not a drawback. The Micro Stimulator has a rounded end and smooth sides, which I found very nice. It's a good beginner's toy, especially if you're not looking for penetration. I find angling downward, with the end just slightly inside my labia, allows for this toy to really go at my clit while giving me that tingle around the edges of my opening. Because of the end on the toy, I would say that this is built more for pinpoint stimulation, but it can definitely be used as a broader stimulation when using the side. The small size is also a plus for those of us that don't have large hands, making this vibrator very easy to handle. The toy is small enough that it won't get in the way if you press it to your clit during sex. The toy is easy to hold, especially with the attached string. The toy does have an O ring placed in the twist end to help keep it waterproof. Originally I was concerned it might come out or tear, but it appears to be adhered in there pretty well. I've seen no tearing or anything like that. The toy itself can probably take a beating. The outside is far more durable than I expected from a toy like this. The motor is more likely to stop before the toy is damaged. Given the way this thing just keeps buzzing, I don't think the motor will die any time soon.

This is where the toy both excelled and failed. The motor is very strong, more so than I expected from a toy this size. It doesn't have that nice rumble. Instead, it has a fast buzz. I personally prefer a more rumbly type of vibe, but this still did the trick. I did notice after a while that my hand started to go numb, so watch out for that! I don't usually apply it to my clit and just keep it there. I prefer to move it around, so I've not had any clit numbing. That said, if you do leave it there, it will start to numb after extended use. The motor is so strong that if I turn the toy on and set it on the table it will happily bounce right off in only a moment or two. I did notice it getting a little warm after extended use, but I don't think it will cause any problems. It does not have pulsing functions, but the dial allows you to fine tune the amount of power you want. The dial has been my biggest frustration though. Unless you have the luxury of using both hands on the toy (like while having sex), you may find it hard to change the power. The dial is somewhat stiff and can be mastered with a little practice. It is not as simple as other vibes. If you place it in your hand with the dial at your fingertips, you can manage to twist it though. The bonus to this means you won't accidentally bump the setting during your fun either. The package comes with two sets of batteries. It runs off of 4 watch batteries in a plastic case. I'm happy to find that they can easily be taken out of their casing, so when you go to replace them, it isn't quite so obvious what you are replacing them for. I have noticed, after some use, that the motor seems to be a bit less amazing, which makes me fear that the batteries won't last all that long.

Another great thing about this toy is that it is very quiet. In a room that's not totally silent and under some clothes or blankets, you might even be able to turn it on without being heard by others in the room. Not that I recommend trying to get caught, but it gives you the idea of just how quiet this powerful vibe is. I can definitely use it in total confidence knowing that no one outside the room I'm in can hear it.

The stimulator is also waterproof. It appears to be sealed really well, but make sure you tighten the end just in case before any water play. In the shower, it definitely didn't have an issue. The vibrator just buzzes along happily no matter what.

This is an easy toy to maintain. With its hard plastic and being waterproof, antibacterial soap and hot water will do the trick. The toy has only the twist end seam, which is easy to clean. Of course, toy cleaners and toy wipes would work too. I keep it in a soft cloth with my other toys, but it's pretty tough and could probably live just about any reasonable place you need it to. It is safe to use with water based, oil based, and silicone based lubes.

The toy is packaged like most of its kind and cost. It came in a plastic case with its name written across the top and a woman in a swimsuit to watch you open it. I wouldn't recommend storing it in the case, simply because it is so large and extremely obvious compared to just the toy itself. The back does not really describe your new vibe much, but the little toy doesn't need a whole lot of description. It does contain a little folded piece of paper on how to place the batteries in the Waterproof Micro Stimulator along with 5 other types of vibrators. I also wouldn't recommend using the case if it's a gift, because I don't feel the casing does the toy justice.

I enjoyed the toy, and I would recommend it for those just getting into vibrators or who don't want penetration. The other thing to consider is the type of vibration it has. While it is powerful, it isn't the rumble that some find far more stimulating, so keep that in mind when buying the toy.

I've already enjoyed the toy several times in the last couple days, and it certainly has made its worth apparent. I don't know that I will use it all the time, but I don't think it will sit idle and lonely for too long either. It is a good toy, not amazing, but it is certainly a worthwhile investment.
