The Sophia wand by Aphrodisia is a newly designed personal vibrator and body massager.
I've used the Sophia for both situations and I've found that it works better for me, for solo sex play or with a partner.

For sexual play, it's perfect to stimulate the clitoris and vulva. I've also used it on my nipples and that also worked well for me in terms of really getting me going. It can be used on a male and by that I mean on his shaft of his penis and his scrotum. My partner found it satisfying, but admitted that it would be better suited for a female. The Sophia wand gave me the best use when I used it for vibrations on my clitoris. It was a steady vibration and it wasn't over the top. Some wands these days have the ability to be so strong that some people just can't enjoy them. This wasn't the case with the Sophia. My opinion is that it's perfect for clitoris play.
I mainly used it while engaged in sexual intercourse. I held it on my clit while I was being penetrated and it helped greatly to achieve a faster orgasm.


The Sophia can also be used for personal use for aching joints and muscles. I've used it on my back and it helped. It helps to get some blood flowing to those muscles and ease some of the soreness, if you have any.

The Sophia wand's main material is made from 100% food grade silicone. This is the safest material on the sex toy market, which gets a 10 on the safety material scale. Silicone is non-porous, hypo-allergenic, latex-free, and phthalates-free. However, the control panel is made of ABS Plastic. This comes in at an 8 on the material safety scale.
The Sophia has two colors on the toy which are both beautiful. The main color is a pretty purple and then the next is the silver handle portion which curves into the purple. The silicone doesn't have much drag to it and it becomes very slippery if used with a water based lubricant. Never use a silicone lubricant with a silicone toy. The silicone-based lubricant can damage it.
There is a slight seam that runs down the length of the toy. It's minimal and doesn't cause any discomfort.
With toys that are silicone, there's no taste or scents and the silicone is always smooth.

The Sophia is perfect for those who are beginners or advanced users. This would be best suited for everyone.

The main thing I love about the Sophia other than it's power is the nice design. It's the perfect sized wand for me. I'm petite and my hands are small and it fits them just like a glove. I couldn't ask for a better sized massager. My partner has very large hands and he said it was very lightweight and had a great fit for him as well. The rounded ball-like head is a perfect size for getting right between my legs without being too large. The handle has an 'S' curve that really fits well with my body. I really love that fact that it's not bulky and it's lightweight. If something is heavy and I have to hold it during sex for along period, it's going to eventually get tiresome and I won't be interested in using it much. I'm so happy to say that this wasn't the case with my Sophia wand.
It has an ergonomic shape which is user friendly to everyone. The size is perfect for anyone. Men and women alike. Everyone's going to love it.
The toy is pretty easy to hide. It may not be a tiny toy, but I keep it in a storage bag that I purchased from Eden Fantasys and I keep it in a drawer, tucked under a few lingerie pieces. It doesn't take up a lot of space. I'd be a little careful if I were traveling with the Sophia as it doesn't have a lock feature and I'd be afraid it could turn on, if it was bumped around too much, or into another object.

The total length of the wand is 7 3/4", with a diameter of 1 3/4".

The head of the wand is just at almost 6" in circumference.

The Sophia wand is a cordless toy which charges via USB. The wand has a small control panel which consists of only two buttons. It's extremely easy to use and the buttons are easy to press.

The power button is the bottom button with the circle feature that looks similar to this 'c-'
When it's pressed once, it automatically goes into the first vibration feature. Use the top button with the signal-looking symbol to change the functions.

The Sophia has 10 different settings.

I will list in order below.

1- Steady lower vibration
2- Steady medium vibration
3- Steady high vibration
4- Short vibration followed by a longer one
5- 3 quick pulses followed by fast pulses
6- Several fast, but low vibrations, followed by medium to high vibrations followed by a higher vibration
7- Seven short vibrations ending with a long steady vibration
8- several quick pulsations which build in intensity with a long vibration afterwards
9- Pulsations with a short pause and then back to a quick steady vibration
10- A Series of fast pulsations

After the 10th setting, it will start over.

The vibrations are in the head of the toy, although some extra vibration can be felt down the shaft. These are just the vibrations from the head of the toy that travel down. There is no actual vibration use for the shaft, since the vibrations are so mild.

I really like the steady high function, although I do try and use them all from time to time.

The Sophia charges fairly quickly with its USB charging port. You must have some type of wall adapter for it to charge or you can use a computer or laptop, but this way just takes much longer to charge. I used my cell phone adapter and it charged quickly. I would say it took about an hour to get a full charge when I first charged it, out of the box. It has lasted me through 3 different sessions and it seems to hold a charge well. I didn't use it for a few days and the charge was still strong.
While it's charging, the lights will flash blue, and once it's charged, they will become a solid blue color.
This is how you know it has a full charge.
As for the power of the Sophia, it has a nice power and it's not very noisy. It's hard to find that. I had it on the steady high setting and asked my partner to close the door and see if he heard it. He said he did not. It was under a light blanket during this time.





The Sophia is marketed that it's waterproof, but I haven't tried that because during inspection of the charging port, I found that the small piece of silicone covering the port doesn't seal up perfectly. There is a small area around that may allow some water to get inside. I have cleaned it with running water, but left the area alone with the port and just wiped that down. I would give it a rating of surely splash-proof, but unsure at this point on its ability to be submerged in water. I'll update in my follow-up review.

The Sophia is a silicone toy which makes it very simple to care for. You can clean it with plain soap and warm water or the toy cleansers offered here on Eden, and even the antibacterial wipes designed for silicone toys. It can be sanitized with a 10% bleach solution, but please do not boil this toy or place it inside a dishwasher. The parts inside could melt and it will ruin your toy.
I like to do a quick wipe down with my antibacterial wipes before and after every use.

The Sophia comes with a black storage bag which is great to store it in. The bag has the Aphrodisia logo on the bottom in white.
I personally use a padded pouch that I purchased from Eden Fantasys for some extra padding.
If you wanted, you could also the box for storage, but I find that a little too bulky. If you don't have an issue with size, the box can be a perfect storage option.

Since the Sophia wand is mainly silicone, you must use precautions when using with certain lubricants. Make sure to use only water based, and never use silicone. Don't store the Sophia with other Silicone toys as it can be damaged and have a 'melting' reaction. If you must store the Sophia with other toys, make sure they are all in different storage pouches or boxes.

The wand arrived in a sealed plastic black box, a very luxurious looking box, I might add, with silver lettering on the front stating the name of the massager. There is also an Eden Fantasys logo near the bottom. The box is very nice and sturdy. It won't bend very easily, unless force is used, which makes it an ideal way to store if you don't have issues for storage. The box gives some information on the toy and how it functions.
This would be nice for gift giving. Not totally discreet, but pretty, nonetheless.







The box could also be recycled if you chose to do so.

There is also an informational booklet included which gives information on the use and settings of the Sophia.

I've really been enjoying the Sophia wand. It has become my go to massager as of late. It seems to hold a good charge, it's lightweight and has enough power for me to use alone after a long day day at work. I can use it on my shoulders and back, and then move on to the good stuff.
