G-spot rabbit vibrator discontinued
by Nasstoys

The vibes might be pure... but they sure are noisy too!

This would make a fine rabbit vibrator for a first time buyer looking to get a decent rabbit style vibrator without laying down a lot of money. It is certainly capable of getting anyone off, but it has many of the shortcomings that can be expected of a cheaper vibe (and I don't just mean the price)

Use

I got this vibrator for review because I thought it might be an interesting vibe that I might be able to share with my girlfriend. The shape of this, at least on inspection, appeared as if it would be effective for prostate stimulation, as well as traditional gspot stimulation. In my experience, it did both moderately well, but I have to say that overall, it has been far more effective for my girlfriend than it has been for me. As a clitoral stimulator, I have no problem saying that this little rabbit is pretty darn solid. The inserted portion rotates at three different speeds (as does the vibe), and this effect is not as exciting as I or my girlfriend had hoped for. I think the main problem is that it's just tough to squeeze out enough power from the batteries in order to get the kind of rotational force that would nail your spot with gusto. Used as a rabbit vibrator though, this is a perfectly adequate toy, though not mind blowing.

Material / Texture

The Pure Vibe rabbit is made from TPR silicone, which is not really one of my favorite materials. TPR is not one of my favorite materials, because it is porous. I think the fact that it has "silicone" in its name might in fact be misleading to those that are not paying attention, so it's important to note that if you intend to share this toy, as I indeed have, you will need to use a condom if you want to be sure of avoiding transmitting anything. This is especially true if you are using the toy anally. TPR has a plasticy smell to it that never seems to go away, and the texture is rubbery on the verge of being sticky. Unlike a velvety pure silicone, TPR has a shine to it that seems to exude cheapness, and unfortunately it makes any toy, no matter how well designed or intentioned, lose points in my book. While the material transmits vibrations well enough, it would be a far better toy if it was molded from platinum silicone.

Design / Shape / Size

The shape of this rabbit follows the basic form of the know ubiquitous rabbit vibe that has been on the market for some number of years now. What was intriguing about this particular toy for me was that the inserted portion really had a hook/curve and diameter distribution that would make it quite effective as a pspot stimulator, as well as being a Gspot stimulator. I found this to be sort of the case. I have been able to get some good encounters with my prostate and this vibe, and the rotation feature sort of makes things interesting. The problem is that the lack of umph on the rotation and the flexible give of the shaft makes it less than 100% effective at really nailing the spot and getting some attention. My girlfriend reported the same thing, although, as I have already said, she has definitely had more fun than me with the toy. I should also say that she has just been using the rabbit ears as of late, without inserting the shaft at all, so I think that that says something right there... I still think that the size and shape of the pure vibe has potential, however more power and different material would be a major plus to the overall package.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The pure vibe has three different vibe settings and three different rotational settings. Both are controlled with buttons on the bottom of the unit, and they can be set independently from one another. The rotations, as noted above, are on the weak side, especially when the flexibility of the toy is factored in, but the vibrations are good enough to get anyone's rocks off. When compared against an Hitachi magic wand or something of that nature, this vibe as well as almost any other battery powered unit is really no match, but I would say it holds its own. On the noise side, this is a very noisy toy. It is not discreet in that department at all, and the overall cheap construction of it exacerbates the loud buzzy noise. When the rotational part is turned on high it sounds like a Kitchen Aid mixer. This is obviously a problem if you are trying to masturbate on the DL! I have never used the toy in water, though it says that it is waterproof on the packaging, and others have spoken to this being the case.

Care and Maintenance

Because this vibe is made of TPR, you should only use water based lubes with the toy. This is another thing that bothers me about the material, since I really don't like water based lubes a whole lot. Also, since TPR is porous, you again need to be mindful of sharing. Use a condom if sharing. If you don't use a condom, regardless if you share or not, this toy will absorb odors, and the reality is that it has a lifespan far shorter than a higher quality toy for this reason alone. Having to use a condom every time you use the toy, in addition to the rate at which it consumes batteries makes this an expensive playpal to keep around.

Personal comments

I've had this toy for quite a long time now. Some family issues kept me away from Eden and a lot of other aspects of my life, although I certainly didn't stop using toys during this trying period. Since receiving the vibe during the latter portion of the summer I have used it less and less to the point where it now sits with the other uninspired toys in the drawer. I feel a little bad to admit that, since I sort of had high hopes for this vibe, but in the end it's just too noisy, is made from a crappy material, and it just doesn't do anything well enough that I feel like I need to reach for it.
Follow-up commentary
As I expected, this guy has fallen by the wayside in the use department. I still think it's a decent little rabbit, but there are just so many better toys out there that my girlfriend and I prefer to use more. While the vibes are decent, the hitachi has plenty more power, and once you have it... well it's sort of difficult to settle for anything less. Also, the noise factor is something that is really irritating and distracting. When toys are distracting for some reason or another, I tend to not use them.
