Ravenous rabbit - rabbit vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by PassionQT

The Ravenous Rabbit from Cal Exotics is a dual stimulation vibrator, with a main shaft that rotates in both directions, and a clitoral stimulator with long ears intended to "wrap around your clitoris". It's best used solo, but could be used with a partner. Even though it looks large, it's really no longer than most other rabbit vibrators, so anyone could use this. It's not waterproof and it's certainly not discreet in the noise department! Travelers will want to remove the batteries before packing this toy, as the buttons are easily activated with even the slightest pressure.

The material is jelly rubber, not the safest, as it is porous and cannot be thoroughly sterilized; however it is Phthalate free and tends to be fairly durable. Anal use isn't what this toy is designed for, besides the shape isn't exactly booty-friendly, even though the large handle would prevent it from going in all the way.

The surface is slightly tacky, so it will probably need to be rinsed off before use if there's any lint on it. Added texture comes from a swirl pattern that wraps about the entire shaft from the head to the base and appears again on the clitoral stimulator. There's actually very little smell or taste. On the downside, the main shaft is fairly unyielding, which could bother those who prefer more flex to their toys.

At first glance, it looks like it would be half-way decent, but toss in the 4-AA batteries and it becomes a heavy toy with an unnecessarily large base/handle. Compared to my other beloved rabbit vibrator, the Eager Beaver, Ravenous Rabbit's handle is much bulkier. The insertable length is around 4.5 inches, which is about average and manageable. The girth is nice, not too thick, but larger in circumference than my other rabbit vibes. The ears on the clitoral stimulator were too long for my liking, causing them to extend well past my clitoral region unless I didn't insert the toy as deep. What fun is there in that?!

Don't expect any fancy bells and whistles here. Overall, it's nothing special, but might work well for the right anatomy. The functions are clearly labeled on the handle and are easy to operate. There are a total of 4 buttons: one to power on the rotation, one to reverse the direction of the rotation, one to turn on the clitoral stimulator, and the last is to turn on the high speed for the latter. The only vibration motor is in the stimulator, which transfers some to the main shaft, but not enough for any earth-shaking sensations. Frankly, I would have done away with the rotation device and just added an additional vibrating motor in the shaft. I'm not sure what the point of a rotating shaft is, unless some women are excited by cervical stimulation. I find that this feature just adds a lot of noise during playtime! Either way, the functions can work together or independently.

The intensity of the clitoral stimulator on high is average, so those who prefer a stronger vibration will probably want to pass on this one. It requires 4-AA batteries which are very easy to insert in the snap closure compartment. Additionally, this toy isn't waterproof, so do not submerse the base when cleaning.

A spray-on antibacterial toy cleaner will work best with this toy, however warm water and antibacterial soap will do the job too, just be sure to only get the shaft wet and not the handle, as the toy is not waterproof. Either a silicone or water-based lubricant may be used.

The packaging is of the stereotypical, hot model (who looks a bit like Nicole Richie) wearing some type of fur coat (rabbit perhaps? It better be fake!) and who is half naked. Of course, it's going to make the item seem better than it really is. At least the toy is is visible through the window, so buyers can get a good idea of the size first.

I received another rabbit to test out at the same time as this one, the EZBEND BUNNY, which won hands-down. The Ravenous Rabbit just wasn't a good fit for me; in fact, it was just uncomfortable to use, probably because the shaft was a bit too stiff for my liking, and the ears on the clitoral bunny were so long that they missed my clit by a longshot. So my overall impression of this one is "meh, it's ok" but you can find better rabbits that are less expensive, less noisy, and stronger.
