Thumper G sex toy review
With a little less girth and a little more length and flexibility, well, you'd have a toy that actually worked.

Pros
I've been meaning to buy AA batteries anyway.
Cons
Weak vibrations, bad design.
I love g-spot stimulation|G-Spot 101 Guide - G-Spot Stimulation as much as the next girl, but somehow I've managed never to buy any toys specifically designed for it. That's why I was happy to be reviewing the Thumper G|G-spot vibrator - Thumper G. It seemed to offer just the right amount of girth, and the harsh curve that feels so good with manual stimulation seemed like it would get right in there to do the job. I couldn't have been more wrong.
First of all, I'm not crazy about plastic as a sex toy material|Vibrator materials - what your toys are made of?, but I made it work for me with my first vibrator, so I decided I'd give it a chance. I quickly realized, though, that even with the most lube I could reasonably use, insertion would not be pleasant.
This toy is 1 1/2" thick. Pair that generous amount of girth with a nearly right-angled head, and you have a pretty uncomfortable task of getting the toy into position. Now, consider that the toy is made of plastic and does not give at all. Oh, another thing that might be important--it didn't come anywhere close to my g-spot! The overall poor design of this toy rules out the possibility of it performing any of the pleasing functions it is designed and promoted to.
The vibrations are unremarkable, especially since it requires three AA batteries. This toy features a high and low vibration setting at the base, which is completely smooth and, considering the amount of lube needed for this toy, was near impossible to get a good enough grip on to maneuver once inside. A little more length, if not a more distinguished base, may have made this easier.
The only reason I gave this toy one star was because later, I used the vibrating function externally for clitoral stimulation and was able to get off, but that's not what the Thumper G is meant to do. It's about as loud as most cheap vibes, but I've heard worse. I think someone in the next room might be able to hear with an ear pressed to the door but I live alone, so this was unverifiable.
After just a couple of uses, this thing doesn't turn on anymore (even after a change of batteries), and all I've done is wash it carefully between uses. If you're trying to find that perfect vibrator design to rock your G, keep looking (and tell me when you've found it).
