Waterwhirl - clitoral stimulator by Cal Exotics - review by Ryuson

This small toy fits wonderfully in the palm of your hand, making any stimulation very comfortable and ergonomic. Its' intended use is for clitoral stimulation, but I found that it also makes for some nice, very shallow penetration. Because of the shape it could be used for some VERY shallow anal penetration, but I wouldn't recommend it simply because it might be hard to hold on to.

This also works well for other erogenous zones or for working sore muscles out. It's very versatile and, as the name implies, can be taken into the shower! Both splash and waterproof, the Waterwhirl is a great shower friend. Because of the size, this toy would be good for both beginner and advanced users. It would also be a very nice, unintimidating toy for couples to use, especially because it doesn't resemble any genitalia.

I find the thing I really appreciate is how easy to hide this toy is! You can toss it in your bath caddy on the way to the shower and no one will notice it, slip it into your purse, toss it under a pillow, anything!

The Waterwhirl is made of hard,, smooth plastic. No part of the toy has any drag or give to it save for the small power button located on the top of the toy. Both out of the box and after use/washing, it has no smell or taste. I feel like this won't discolor of breakdown over time, which is always a plus.

Being so smooth, you need no lube at all, especially if you're using in the shower of tub! A few drops of lube might be preferred by some just to get things extra slippery, but it for sure isn't necessary. This smoothness would be appreciated again, by advanced and new users alike!

Plastic is nonporous and compatible with all types of lube, so no worries! It is rated an 8 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale, which is pretty darned good! Though plastic isn't porous, it got the 2 points off because it can't be boiled. As most of us know, heat thin plastic up and it warps and melts and no one would be a happy camper! Most vibrators can't be boiled anyways, though, because of the delicate motors so this is about as safe as you can get!

While I have had a lot of disappointments from California Exotics recently, this toy is wonderful! It's well thought out design is feminine and comfortable. The rounded handle fits nicely into the palm of your hand, and the tip is the perfect shape that you fan rest your finger on top of it. This allows for very precise control of how much or little pressure you want to put.

I really liked this toy because it didn't offer a lot of pinpoint stimulation. You end up stimulating a .75" by .75" area at a time which is the type of distribution I need. Unfortunately, I know that a lot of people need direct stimulation right on the tip on their clitoris, so I would take this into consideration when buying any type of external toy.

I feel like a lot of thought went into making a toy like this, and it shows. I really like holding it; not to use it, but just because it fits so well in my hand! The overall length is 4.25 inches, and the tip that can be used for shallow insertion is about 2.5 inches long. While it is very compact, if you like large toys this is not up your alley!

This toy has quite a lot of power for something so small, cheap, and quiet! It only has two settings, a low and a high, but I would put these at two and three vrooms respectively. They will be fine for people with more sensitive and easy-to-please clits, but if you need a lot of oomph of you prefer patterns, the Waterwhirl might leave you wanting.

There is a push button on the top, sort of in the center of the toy. It has a bit more drag to it and is easy to push, but you have to put enough pressure that it won't happen accidentally or when you need it to stay quiet. You press once for the low setting, again for the high setting, and then a fourth time to turn it off. While I dislike having to cycle through, there are only two settings and both are very quiet so I don't really mind.

I use most of my toys in the communal dorm showers so noise is a big deal for me, but I have no worries at all about this one! It it hard to hear when I extend my arm, but under a blanket it's almost impossible to hear and there's no way it can be heard through a door!

I used it in the shower, as I said, and had no problem at all with water getting in! Overall, I am super satisfied with the performance of my Waterwhirl.

This toy is SUPER low maintenance! One of the reasons that it is so easy to hide is because it doesn't collect any lint or gunk. If you toss it in a sock drawer or into a box for a while, it won't come out fuzzy or dusty. I just wash mine with a toy cleaner or soap and then rinse with warm water.

Plastic is compatible with all toy cleaners and lubes, so you can just use whatever is your favorite and not have to worry about if it will hurt your Waterwhirl. I store it in a cool, dry place with my other toys. Remember kids, always store your vibrators with their batteries out! It will prolong the life of both!

This came in quite a nice package! It has an outer case with some basic information about the toy, and then two inserts that hold it in place slide easily out. It makes it feel of a much higher quality than a lot of Cal Exotics toys I've gotten in a flimsy tab-closing box or a clamshell case. While it doesn't have any naked women on it, it isn't hiding what it is.

I would feel neutral about wrapping and giving the toy in this container as a gift. If I knew that my friend had already used sextoys I would feel 100% okay with it, but I might want to get her something a bit more classy if it was their first.

This may be my new external shower toy, simply because it didn't slip all over the place! My Rondo or Harmonia work well because of their size but my smaller toys have a tendency to slip and slide all over, leaving me more frustrated than relaxed!

The feminine and ergonomic shape is wonderful for me, and I feel like sometimes I prefer something straight forward without patterns or 'ears.' If you don't have anything like it, the Waterwhirl is a great basic vibe that I feel everyone should have (or something a lot like it!) For the price, it is a great find! While it isn't rechargeable and it has no patterns, I still feel I can accurately give it 5 stars.
