Venus penis - butterfly strap-on vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Kitka

The Venus Penis looks appealing and the concept is a great one. However, for me, personally, it just did not live up to the image. I tried it on and realized the straps are made out of some super stretchy shoddy material; which, in turn, made it very hard to keep it adjusted so it kept trying to slide down my legs. Also, gravity didn't aid in any way being that the butterfly was the heaviest part of the whole toy. This, in turn, made it very hard to keep the little penis part inserted, thereby negating any real pleasurable sensations from it.

The butterfly part of it is a jelly material and I'm quite sensitive to things skin-wise, but this did not bother me at all allergically. Cleaning it was pretty simple on the butterfly part of it since I just used a spray-on toy cleaner. The straps were a bit harder to get completely clean. I had to soak them in hot water and scrub them the best I could. I didn't use any lube with this as I was quite self-lubricated at the time, but I would suggest a water-based lube because that's what I usually use with any toys that aren't glass or metal.

I do have to say that the vibrating part of the Venus Penis was the only thing I really liked about it, beyond the pretty purple color. The bullet used in this toy is quite powerful for its size, but that also means that it's a bit noisier than I'd like. I did try this toy out once while sitting down on it with it vibrating away. That was a good way to use it since it kept falling off while standing, and the vibrating bullet did give some very pleasurable sensations.

I never found much enjoyment with the Venus Penis, and got so fed up with the straps being a pain in the butt that I pulled out the bullet and tossed the rest in the garbage. It kind of sucks since we actually paid for that one a while ago, but I'm hoping I'll find a different strap-on vibrator that works better.
