This Viva La Wand was packaged in a box that was also sealed in plastic wrap. Upon opening it, I noticed the wand had its own bag, magnetic charging cord, and user manual. Being made of mostly silicone, besides the silver accent at the bottom of the handle, it was smooth to the touch. This toy had a charge when it arrived, so I went through the controls. There are 3 buttons. The bottom is the power button which turns the toy on/off, the middle button will go through the different vibration modes, and the top button controls the vibration intensity. The toy turns on to the continuous vibration mode, and without a memory feature, it will always turn on to this mode. This wand also starts off on the highest intensity level. I found only 3 intensity levels with the Viva La Wand, which was a bit of a disappointment as the details for the wand state there are 8 intensity levels. There are 20 different vibration patterns, including the continuous mode. Switching to a different mode will automatically switch the intensity to the highest level, so if you have it on low and go to a different pattern, then it will change it to the most intense setting, and you'll once again have to adjust it to low. Upon using this Viva La Wand for the first time, I noticed the different controls could be a little inconvenient during play. The lightest intensity could be a little much to get warmed up to, but I was already excited and ready to try the toy, so I wasn't as sensitive as usual. Strong vibrations can be felt throughout the Viva La Wand. The most intense is at the head of the wand.
