Passion tango - rabbit vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by Oggins

I have to admit, the Waterproof Passion Tango is a wonderful idea! That’s because California Exotic Novelties tried to find a way for this rabbit style vibe to fit just about any clitoris you can imagine! Trust me, that can be a lot harder than you think. I’ve tried quite a few toys in my life and I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve recommended a rabbit vibe to someone, and the clitoral attachment just didn’t work out for them; because it wasn’t positioned correctly for them.

I’ve also experienced the exact opposite of this, were I was the one receiving the recommendation to end up unsatisfied! With the Passion Tango, you won’t have that problem because the butterfly clitoral attachment is corded and expandable. You can put it anywhere you want on your clitoris but why stop there? It stretches enough to be used effectively for nipple stimulation as well! As the saying goes, “it takes two to tango” so why be selfish? Let your partner play with the butterfly some too, because the cord easily stretches to about 26 inches!

The overall length of the Passion Tango is about 10 inches with about 6.5 insertable inches. It also has a diameter of about 1.6 inches, by my calculations. So it’s probably not going to work out for everyone as far as the size goes, but it is a soft TPE material that does flex and give a bit for more comfort.

The tip of the shaft sports a fairly realistic looking penis head, that is just a bit thicker than the shaft. There is a well defined ridge below said penis head that can easily be felt internally during use. I found that if I turned the ridge toward my g-spot, I was able to stimulate my g-spot lightly which provided a nice sensation.

The controls are easy to navigate and are fairly basic. There are two sets of “up” and “down” arrows. Either of the “up” arrows will turn the vibe on to the lowest setting of either rotation or vibration. You simply push up and down after it’s on to cycle through the three levels of rotation or three speeds of vibration. There is no instant off button so you will have to push the down arrows in order to shut the vibe off. There is also a separate button that will allow you to change the direction of the rotating head. The buttons are somewhat easy to accidentally press if you get a bit rambunctious, but I really didn’t have too much of a problem.

The packaging of the Passion Tango consists of a cardboard box that I didn’t find particularly offensive in any way. It mostly focuses on the vibrator with big illustrations but there is a couple making out in the background. They aren’t nude or using the toy, just necking a bit. I really didn’t find it distasteful at all.

As previously stated, the Passion Tango is made from TPE which is less porous than cyberskin but more porous than silicone so, it’s recommended that you cover this one with a condom when sharing. It does have a very faint scent that really isn’t offensive at all and is actually, quite hard to smell. TPE can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and water, or your favorite toy cleaner, your choice! Just remember to only use water based or silicone based lubes with TPE, or you could harm the material. The only cleaning issue I had was with the cord. Be careful with lubes and such because that cord can be a pain to clean! Other than that, it was a breeze!

One thing I happened to notice about the butterfly clitoral attachment is that, if you are determined enough, the sleeve is removable. It’s really not too hard to do, and I’ve honestly had more trouble getting a bullet out of a Tantus dildo before. There is a shiny, silver colored, hard plastic egg vibe under the butterfly sleeve in case you prefer a more direct vibration. The sleeve will also go back on for those who are more sensitive.

I did test this one out on its waterproof-ness. My main concern on this was that there is a little hole where the cord to the butterfly goes into the shaft. I figured this hole would let water in and damage the toy, so I filled the sink with water, then tossed the Passion Tango in. I watched as the egg vibrator, of the clitoral attachment, sank and the main body of the vibe floated to the top. I was also watching for bubbles that would be the tale sign of water going into that little hole. Well, I kept waiting and just didn’t see anything. There were no bubbles.

After about fifteen minutes, I pulled the Passion Tango out to see how waterlogged it had gotten. While it was saturated on the exterior, I couldn’t find any moisture anywhere inside. It also worked just like it had before it had gone into the water and I didn’t see any water running out of it from anywhere. Okay, so, I guess it is waterproof after all! I would recommend checking the corded portion periodically to make sure it doesn’t get a crack that would allow water inside at some point though.

I didn’t have any problems with this one picking up lint and hair either. That’s because while it is soft and flexible, reminiscent of jelly, it isn’t sticky. The best way to describe the feel is for you to imagine what soft flexible plastic would feel like, and that’s basically what this one feels like.

I really had a lot of fun with this one but, in the end, I think the shaft is just a tad bit too thick for me to use all the time. I enjoy the sensations that it provides but I think it’s just the thickness of the head that gets to me. At least it’s relatively quiet! I could barely hear it through our closed bedroom door so that’s a plus. It’s also decent on power. It’s got an ample amount of power to suite most users, the exception being for those who find it hard to climax and need an extreme amount of power from their toys; in which case you should really look into the Hitachi Magic Wand. It is however, a great design, waterproof and relatively quiet so who wants to Tango? I know I do!
