Excellent article! The transcendent potential of lovemaking has long been overlooked.

Excellent. It's very relevant in our society. Too many churches need to adopt a sex-positive approach to discussing sexuality. I know too many men and women that spent a lot of time ashamed that they enjoyed sex because of how it was portrayed in church.

Dear BBW - Why, thank you ma'am! I think it's quite a challenge for churches to adopt that attitude for historical reasons - they are quite the reason why such 'splits' took place. He who controls sex, controls so much more, including our bodies. Perhaps those friends of yours that feel this shame might like to read this post? Whether you share it or not, please know that I really appreciate the time you took to comment!

Great article! I can really relate as I come from a strict christian background where sex was taboo and the limits of what was discussed with my parents was them telling me to wait until marriage because it was a sin, and so was masturbation. Of course I rebelled, but it would have been nice to have received more information from my parents, and in the end it would have improved our relationship, rather than deepen the rift between us at the time.
