I'm on board! Even better I raised my girls with this philosophy. Sometimes I felt it was a loosing battle, but now that my girls are adults and one is a Mom, I see that somewhere I got it right. They are beautiful assets to society. Not maybe in looks but in how they treat others with respect, Encourage their friends and even others around them to be the unique beautiful person they are. When they hear someone, the self appointed beautiful people or "mean girls", down beating anyone else they speak up and boost the one being brow beaten. Not with false compliments, but with the simple self appreciation logic I taught them. "Be true be you today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You; and Always be a first rate version of yourself and not a second rate version of someone else.” Gotta love Dr. Seuss and Judy Garland
Okay so maybe they didn't listen to "Mom" but all those sticky notes on bathroom mirrors and in lunch boxes seemed to make it through. Maybe it was the fact someone else was validating or saying the same thing "Mom" said but they could say quote from so-and-so instead of "My Mom says ..." What eve the case it worked!
