All Day Comfort
I am so thrilled that I held out for California Exotics to make this toy. I love toys, but the cost can be prohibitive when trying new things that we may not like. the Love Pacifier is a great example of patience as a virtue: If you like the weight of a presence in your ass for any period of time, but for whatever reason (mine's usually the length) haven't hit gold with traditional plugs, LP's worth its weight in high-grade silicone.Published: January 29, 2012

Good heft but not too heavy, stays put, easy to clean, can be worn for hours, smooth texture

I wouldn't change a thing!
Oh, how I've been ruminating over this variety of plug...ok, longing to try it but never wanting to invest in the Mother Model; thankfully, California Exotics came through again with a lighter-weight version in the highest quality silicone with much more manageable price tag for the Sorta Curious. Mine came two days ago in red, along with a yearly (or less, shhhh) rocket replacement and I couldn't wait, suddenly, to satisfy that apparently fresh curiosity.
I like to soak my silicone dildos and plugs (read: without batteries -- not vibrators!) in hot water after first washing them with soap and water after un packaging them. The Love Pacifier got the same treatment while I got myself ready to be Pacified. LP has a good heft at 1/5 of a pound and once it was good and warm I was, too. I used some Liquid Silk lube on the toy and some on myself...my asshole resisted a bit over the 4.75" circumference but patience won out and LP was in. Very comfy! The stem is just long enough, and the large ring handle nestled comfortably against my perineum. I turned it around (I can't recommend giving it a good "spin" as often as one can stand it) and tried wearing the loop turned up and back, but the friction against my tailbone was irritating. Your mileage may vary!
The Love Pacifier is made from food-grade silicone, it's hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous and phthalates free. There was no detectable smell even right out of the packaging; LP is incredibly smooth and while other reviews mention a seam -- sometimes prominent -- mine has one that's flush with the toy and isn't at all noticeable. This makes me wonder if it's just minor production inconsistency that California Exotics will work out with enough feedback.

Experience
I received my Love Pacifier on Friday afternoon and began wearing it immediately. This led to the inevitable arousal that comes with excitement for a new toy and both my partner and I enjoyed welcoming it. Partner claims the girth of it in my ass during vaginal intercourse is "perfect," and that the ring was not only flexible and not-at-all-irritating but that it makes for a good "handle," too. I wore LP for about four hours that day; I removed it before bed, washed it in hot water with Dr. Bronner's and left it to air dry. The next morning, I gave it a warm soak before inserting it during my shower and off we went to the outdoor market, after which we ran several more hours of errands...yes, there was more sex later that day with Partner and we were still thrilled. I love that this is a long-term-wear toy that isn't irritating to my partner during sex.

Thoughts on how to get rid of that seam?

I know the seam is a bother for some people who have this, so I was trying to think of a way to fix it. Sanding it, even if you sand it with a very fine grit, would leave scratches, which could gather bacteria... So I'm stumped. Maybe melting it slightly at the seam and smoothing it down while still hot? I'm not sure how silicone reacts to that.
I guess you could also take a straight edge razor to it and shave it off.
If anyone else has suggestions, that would be awesome :) -
If it's pure silicone it will not melt with fire.

Ah the dreaded seam. :@
I always start by trying to grab it and pull it off depending on how big it is. My Ridge Rider had a bunch around the ridges that easily pulled right off.
The only thing I have found to work is a brand new razor blade (Scalpel is better) and a careful hand. Problem is it is to easy to cut into the rest of the toy. The seam will try and fold over requiring more pressure. Once it does start to cut, you have gone to far. :(
If you have a Dremel with a small sanding attachment that may work a bit better than sandpaper. But like you say it will leave scratches that could be worse than the seam. Thankfully silicone is non porous throughout so you would just need to make sure to clean those areas good. A old toothbrush works great.
Fire from a lighter typically will not melt it. Even if it did it may leave it hard and probably rough.
You really have to decide if the seam is a bother or if you can live with it. In the case of the Pacifier, I can not feel it during use so I left it alone.
