Fun Factory wants you to Share, and I agree, though you might enjoy it by yourself as well.

Fun Factory is a tried-and-true brand, and I was excited about receiving my first toy from them, the Share. Made from beautiful, silky-smooth silicone and available in a variety of vivid colors, it is a stunning pleasure object to be enjoyed by all the senses. Its two ends provide unique stimulation, and it is great for both giving and receiving pleasure.
Published: March 10, 2011
Pros:
Full silicone construction, comes in beautiful colors, unique design.
Cons:
The bulbous end may be a little too large for some women to comfortably use, and it is very heavy.

Use

The Share is a great toy to use both solo and with a partner. Its two ends give very different but equally pleasurable feelings, and both should definitely be experimented with. The giver (the person using the bulbous end) needs to be prepared either to use a lot of lube or to take a little while to insert the toy if her vagina is on the small side. Also, if you are planning on using this without a harness, some good Kegel strength may be required.

Material / Texture

Share is made from 100% medical-grade, non-porous, and phthalate-free silicone that is velvety soft to the touch and completely safe for your body. 100% silicone cannot absorb microbes, making this an easy-to-clean and very hygienic toy. This is a very plush silicone. It will bend and yield to pressure while still having enough solidity to be firm where it counts.
    • Flexible
    • Harness compatible
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

Perhaps one of the most intriguing aspects of this dildo is its unique shape. Both ends are insertable and are designed to be used together. The giver has a bulbous, bean-shaped end that is meant to be inserted into the vagina. This end features an insertable curve that rubs against the G-spot while also somewhat securing itself beneath the pubic bone. I found this end to be slightly larger than expected with a girth of 5 ½”, and I needed quite a bit of lube to insert it comfortably. Between the two ends is a ridge that nicely rubs against the giver’s clitoris and labia during use. The longer dildo is meant to easily be controlled and maneuvered into the receiving male or female partner. It features a flared head and ridged sides. Its girth tapers from 5” to 5 ¾” at the base.

This dildo has quite a bit of heft to it at 1.5 pounds, and while some women may have the Kegel strength to comfortably use this without a harness, I do not. I recommend using an O-ring harness with which this is compatible. I did find that with my legs close together, I could comfortably stand with the toy inserted, but I definitely could not walk with it. You may also be able to attribute this to the amount of lube required to put in the toy.

Performance

As mentioned above, the Share is quite heavy, so I recommend either keeping a hand on the dildo or using a harness. This toy is a lot of fun, and I found that solo play was just as enjoyable as with a friend. When I first got it, I had a lot of fun just caressing the toy. The first time I played with it, I inserted the bean-shaped end and jacked off the longer dildo. Later, I added a clitoral vibrator while continuing to stroke the longer dildo and came to full orgasm by way of simultaneous G-spot and clitoral stimulation. The receiver’s end is also quite enjoyable and is much the same as any other natural dildo of similar length.
    • Easy to use
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Not discreet at all

Care and Maintenance

Because the Share is waterproof, it can be easily cleaned by washing with antibacterial soap and warm water. This will provide a good day-to-day cleaning for your toy, but more intensive and thorough sanitation can be achieved by wiping your dildo down with a 10% bleach solution or a sanitizing toy wipe. As mentioned above, silicone cannot absorb bacteria, so a thorough cleaning of its surface should leave your toy safe, sanitary, and ready to play with. This item is also safe to be washed and sanitized via the top rack of your dishwasher, and you can boil it for five minutes to achieve the same result.

Silicone is not compatible with silicone lubes, so you should stick to oil or water-based lubricants when playing with your Share. Do not store it openly with non-100% silicone toys: jelly, rubber, TPR/TPE, and other soft materials can be warped, misshaped, or even melted by silicone stored at close range. Keep Share in the Fun Factory box, a plastic Ziploc bag, or a lint-free storage pouch to prevent it from negatively affecting the toys around it!
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The toy comes in a neat little box with a view window on the front. It has a cover with a small magnet that you can open to see the toy more clearly through the packaging. When you open the box, it slides out in a nice little tray with the toy prominently displayed on top. Underneath it is a small compartment that includes a couple of water-based lube samples as well as the instruction manual. The only negative thing I have to say about the packaging is about the manual, actually. Fun Factory has a standard manual written in several languages that gives a broad overview of all of their toys. The tray is a nice thing to keep for storage, but it will not make the toy discreet.
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal
    • Recyclable

Personal comments

This is definitely a great toy for couples interested in gender play or for female-female couples. I like this toy a lot, and the only reason it gets four instead of five stars is due to the heft of the toy which makes it hard to use without a harness.

Good review. How easy was it to keep the blunt end in while penetrating someone else? Was it more difficult to penetrate someone anally?

I'm sure the harness made things easier, but I was wondering how easy it was to keep the "pony" end in place while penetrating someone else.

  • can you get off while using this?
    • I would really love to be using this with my partner, at got off at the same time..
    • without too much effort on my part?
    • It really depends on your anatomy and what gets you off.

If it can hit your g-spot, that'll do something, but it varies person-to-person how much. It might hit your clitoris, but again depends on how the toy fits your body - and if you can get off from that kind of stimulation.

Personally, I don't rely on it to get me "all the way" all by itself - because I can't orgasm so far with just g-spot and clitoral touching. Some people certainly can, it just depends. :)

  • Strapless dildos
    • Are strapless dildos hard to use for beginners?
    • I've never tried one myself, but I've heard they have a bit of a learning curve and you need strong kegels to use them properly. I've also heard, however, that they will work with a harness if you need extra stability.
    • It really seems like they're hard to use period. I don't know of anyone who regularly uses them without a harness (though I'd love to hear from someone who does).

How do these two products compare? Which one works better in and out of a harness?

      Thank you.

      Thank you.
They both work well in a harness. Share is a little bouncier and thicker and jucier and Feeldoe is much firmer. I find them both easy to use with no harness, although I find Nexus JR the easiest to retain. Out of all the double dildoes I have tried (all 4 Feeldoes, both Shares, Tango, and the three Nexus sizes, I find Tango the hardest to hold with my muscles followed by Nexus Maximus (weighs a ton) and Share XL (weighs like a brick and is floppy) . I'm a driver. It matters a bit less if you are a pillow princess.
    • I have the Feeldoe(slim) and the Tango and have used the Share. I agree with Kuuipogal. But for me they all pop out just prior to orgasm despite strong Kegels but the "look" w/o a harness is awesome.
I am a hard and vigorous driver so a harness for me has been the solution. I have the Aslan Jaguar and the Spare Parts both super.

  • Strap-onless strap-ons
    • I love when my girlfriend ties me down and dominates me but we haven't given much thought to strap-ons. Are the strapless ones as good as the strap-ons?
    • A starp-on harness is a good initial investment because it can be used with a variety of toys including strapless ones (if desired).
The strapless ones seem to be pretty good, though depending on who you talk to. The Share line and the feeldoe line seem to get good marks from most and present the best chance that they can be used completely without a harness. The Nexus line would probably be somewhat more difficult for the giver to hold inside without a harness. I think the harness option might be better for versatility, but the Share might represent an excellent choice for you and your girlfriend as well.

Personally, I would say no... just because they're harder to navigate. Certainly possible, and you can add a harness to get more stability while keeping the internal stimulation. There are also some harnesses that will hold a cock inside the wearer as well, so you have more options.
I'd agree with Jimbo that either the Share or Feeldoe is your best bet for doubles like this, the Nexus just doesn't cut it.
