Pleasingly Pleasurable Purple Penis

The Share is a versatile toy that offers some unique experiences. I loved the idea of being able to get a bit more sensation and feedback during strap-on sex than with a traditional harness and strap-on. This also makes hand jobs and blow jobs a possibility for those who may not have the necessary equipment built in. Whether you are straight or gay, are looking for a toy for gender play or solo play, the Share will likely have some enjoyable applications for you to explore!

Use

The Share can be used in several different ways. Personally, I purchased it for partner play during lesbian sex. However, it could also be used for pegging/anal play for couples of any gender or orientation. It is somewhat large, so I would not recommend it to those just starting out with anal play. It is also a fun toy to use solo. Either end can be inserted and used to great effect regardless of whether or not you have a partner present to share it with.

When used as a strapless strap-on, the weight of the silicone makes it somewhat... droopy. It can still be used like this (depending on the position and exact application), but a harness would definitely make it more stable.

Material / Texture

The Share is a silicone toy. Definitely one of my favourite matierals. High-grade and non-porus, it can be easily cleaned and sanitized which is a huge plus for me since I may yet be using it with multiple partners. I still use condoms for partnered play as well, just for an added level of safety, but the high-grade silicone is still a reassuring feature.

Because this toy is pure silicone with no elecronics, batteries, or moving parts, it's also completely waterproof. Use it in the tub, the shower, or wherever you please!

Of course, the silicone construction also means that silicone-based lubes are out so make sure you have an appropriate water-based lube to use with this toy. And, in my experience, you will need quite a bit! I've found that the easiest way to deal with the dildo/penis end is to just slip a pre-lubed (double-check to make sure it's water-based) condom over it and simply use it that way. This is also an easy way to add a bit of texture to it by using ribbed or studded condoms. A condom can also be easily slipped over the bulb end if desired. This ends up looking somewhat less aesthetically appealing as the bottom of the condom will tend to be loose where the bulb narrows at the base. Textured condoms are also not really useful here as the bulb is not designed to move around while inserted.

The Share is pleasingly firm. The silicone feels quite dense and is not very compressable at all. It is, however, bendable and has enough flex and give to it to be comfortable and un-intimidating, but not so much that it seems flacid.

The Share is semi-realistic with a distinct head and shaft to the penis, but smooth overall surface with no additional texture of skin or veins or the like. It doesn't feel like a real penis when used vaginally, but I don't get the impression it's meant to. The penis end is enjoyably long and thick and firm. And the bulb end gives a nice full sensation while working out the pelvic floor muscles.

Design / Shape / Size

I enjoy the sleek, semi-realistic design of this toy both aesthetically and physically. The ridge at the base of the penis provides decent clitoral stimulation for the user with the bulb end inserted. The bulb itself is fairly ergonomic and easy to hold on to vaginally. I found it to be deceptively large though. Not unmanageably so, but I definitely wouldn't want it to be any larger!

I do wish that the connection between the bulb and dildo/penis was slightly stiffer. This would prevent the penis from drooping in certain positions and also offer a bit more feedback between the two ends.

I feel that the size and shape of both the bulb and penis end are likely a reasonable size for the average user when inserted vaginally. They are both probably on the large size for anal insertion. Just something to keep in mind.

This is definitely not a discreet toy. The shape meeans that it's likely to be immediately recognized as a sex/adult toy. It is also fairly bulky, especially if carried in its original packaging. However, it might be considered appropriate for travel since it doesn't require batteries or have any moving parts. This means that you don't have to worry about it accidentally activating while in transit nor running out of batteries and having to procure more (or bring extras) while on your travels. (I have travelled with this toy in the past with no issues.)

Performance

I, unfortunately, haven't had the opportunity to use this toy for partnered play yet. I have, however, used it for solo play several times and been extremely pleased.

The bulb provides a nice feeling of fullness when inserted and the ridge at the bottom of the penis provides good contact with the clitoris and creates additional stimulation. With a bit of lube, I am able to give myself a quite enjoyable hand job. It's not as intense as using a traditional vibrator, but it is a different sort of stimulation with a fun psychological aspect to it that I enjoy.

The bulb can also be used as a sort of handle while the penis end is inserted and used like a more traditional dildo. This could be done either solo or with a partner.

While the Share can be used with a harness, the large base of the penis means that you may be somewhat limited in your harness choices.

The only real complaint I have about this toy is the flexibility of the connection between the bulb and penis. The weight of the silicone, combined with its flex, means that -- in some positions -- the penis tends to drop low rather than standing at attention. I feel that having a stiffer connection between the two ends would also offer a bit more feedback between them, creating a more engaging experience. However, doing this would mean that the toy could no longer be made enitrely of one continuous piece of silicone which would have its own drawbacks.

Care and Maintenance

This is a very easy toy to care for. There are no batteries or separate components to care for or worry about. Simply wash it with soap and warm water when you're finished with it. Or you could purchase a special-purpose toy cleaner for silicone.

Of course, as with all silicone toys, silicone-based lubes should be avoided as they will damage the toy. There is no shortage of water-based lubes that are safe to use with toys such as this, however.

The silicone will tend to attract hair and dust, so I recommend storing the Share in its box or some other container of your choosing between uses.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

The Share comes in a relatively sturdy and attractive box that can be used as a storage box if required. It is also relatively discreet (although fairly large) if the outer sleeve is removed. The outer sleeve has pictures of the toy printed on it, but the actual box just has the company name (Fun Factory) printed on it without any pictures.

There aren't many instructions included, but this is a pretty simple and straight-forward toy to use, so the small, pictoral instruction pamphlet was all that was really needed. As the instructions are entirely pictoral, language is not a concern.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage

Personal comments

This is a fun, well-designed toy with a variety of uses and applications. Definitely a good choice for anyone looking for a robust, simple toy that doesn't require batteries or a lot of maintenance. Very happy with this as my first "strapless strap-on".
