Strapless Survivor contestant: the Fun Factory Share
The Share is my top pick for a first strapless double if you don't want to use a harness. The large, well-shaped giver's bulb is the best of the bunch at staying in without help, and combines with the vulva-cradling saddle to provide a "Dolby surround" stimulation experience for the giver. The soft silicone works in almost any position, and the curved, tapered large dildo with a small head gives a good time to the receiver as well.Published: January 17, 2011
Pros:
Reasonably secure without harness, feels great for both partners, tapered dildo
Cons:
Hard to keep a condom on, matte finish can "pull" if there is insufficient lube.
We're now live with another contender for the title of Strapless Survivor, the Fun Factory Share. Like the other Strapless Survivor entrants (the Nexus Maximus, Feeldoe More, and Sysil:Edge), the Fun Factory Share is made of premium 100% silicone and is designed to be usable with or without a harness.
The Fun Factory Share, the original member of the Share series, now occupies the middle of the size range. One of the “Second-Gen” strapless doubles, the Share differs from the Feeldoe and Sysil:Edge in several ways, making the Share feel and work differently from the Feeldoe or Sysil:Edge.
The most obvious difference between the Share and the other strapless doubles is the design of the giver's pony. On the Share this is kidney-shaped and much larger than the giver's end on any of the other strapless doubles. While the size may make insertion a bit more difficult, it also makes the Share the easiest of the strapless doubles to hold in without a harness. Note that you might still want to use a harness, as the Share can still come out during orgasm or extended sessions. Unfortunately the same design that makes the Share work so wonderfully doesn't work very well if you want to hold the bulb anally, as the large bulb is hard to insert and the off-center positioning of the connecting stalk means that it can work its way out.
The other major difference between the Share and the other three contenders is the shape of the saddle area between the two ends. While most other designs have a right angle or a plate joining the two ends, the Share has a U-shaped curve. This curve cradles the vulva, distributing the stimulation from thrusting over the vulva and clitoris on the outside while the giver's pony massages the G-spot. The flexible coupling between the two ends allows the Share to be used comfortably in almost any position.
While these are the major differences between the Share and the other Strapless Survivor contestants, there are many other minor features of the Share that contribute to its performance. These include the silicone used and the design of the larger dildo.
The Share is made from Fun Factory's soft silicone. While not quite as squishy as Vixen's silicone, the soft silicone ensures that the Share will not cause uncomfortable poking during use, even if the dildo slips into an unexpected position. Texturally, the Share is smooth except for the head and two slight wavy ridges that run down the bottom of the toy, with a matte finish all over. The matte finish holds lube well, but does have more drag than a smooth finish, so make sure that you use enough lube with the Share.
The large dildo has a curve that can increase stimulation in certain positions and can be considered “semi-realistic” as it has a stylized head that both increases G or P spot stimulation and provides a visual indicator that you're near the end of the dildo. There is a very unique flare in the shaft of the Share, making the base of the big dildo much larger than the top (the head is 1-1/4” diameter, the base 1-7/8”). This flare brings with it positives as well as drawbacks: the gentle increase in diameter means that you can “work up” to the full diameter from a much more manageable tip, and the sensations provided are different than a more cylindrical design. The drawbacks are that it feels a bit different (especially at first), and it is very difficult to get a condom to stay on the Share (fortunately it's sterilizable silicone!)
The flare has benefits not only for the person enjoying the Share's “getter's end”, it also provides some benefits to the giver. The wide base stimulates the wearer's whole vulva and clit, providing good stimulation, and it also helps to direct any body fluids or lube away from the giver's genitals.

Experience
The Share is undoubtedly the strapless dildo I would recommend to someone who was interested in trying a strapless double without a harness. While the giver's bulb is big and you might need some time to work it in, it is by far the most likely to stay in during use. Like all of the strapless doubles the Share can be used with a harness if you want the added security, so you loose nothing if you decide to move to a harness or you want to start out with a harness and then later move to strapless use. The shape of the saddle also ensures that the giver gets plenty of stimulation, which tends to make the experience better for both partners.
For the getter the Share also works well. The curve and head provide enhanced G-spot or prostate stimulation, and the flared shaft allows you to start off with the smaller portion and, if you want, finish with full strokes that bottom the Share out and leave you filled with the full 1-7/8” maximum diameter. While I wasn't expecting much from the ridges on the bottom at first, I quickly found out that they do in fact add to the stimulation. Indeed, the only bad thing that I could find with the Share (other than my usual wondering about how a toy would feel if it were “just a little bigger”) was that you really do need to be able and willing to stop and re-lube when it starts to feel dry. If you don't then the matte finish will grab your skin and get very uncomfortable very fast.

can you get off while using this?
-
I would really love to be using this with my partner, at got off at the same time..
-
without too much effort on my part?
-
It really depends on your anatomy and what gets you off.
If it can hit your g-spot, that'll do something, but it varies person-to-person how much. It might hit your clitoris, but again depends on how the toy fits your body - and if you can get off from that kind of stimulation.
Personally, I don't rely on it to get me "all the way" all by itself - because I can't orgasm so far with just g-spot and clitoral touching. Some people certainly can, it just depends. :)

Strapless dildos

Are strapless dildos hard to use for beginners?
-
I've never tried one myself, but I've heard they have a bit of a learning curve and you need strong kegels to use them properly. I've also heard, however, that they will work with a harness if you need extra stability.
-
It really seems like they're hard to use period. I don't know of anyone who regularly uses them without a harness (though I'd love to hear from someone who does).

Share vs. Feeldoe
-
forkehHow do these two products compare? Which one works better in and out of a harness?
Thank you. -
Quote: How do these two products compare? Which one works better in and out of a harness? They both work well in a harness. Share is a little bouncier and thicker and jucier and Feeldoe is much firmer. I find them both easy to use with no harness, although I find Nexus JR the easiest to retain. Out of all the double dildoes I have tried (all 4 Feeldoes, both Shares, Tango, and the three Nexus sizes, I find Tango the hardest to hold with my muscles followed by Nexus Maximus (weighs a ton) and Share XL (weighs like a brick and is floppy) . I'm a driver. It matters a bit less if you are a pillow princess.
Thank you. -
I have the Feeldoe(slim) and the Tango and have used the Share. I agree with Kuuipogal. But for me they all pop out just prior to orgasm despite strong Kegels but the "look" w/o a harness is awesome.
I am a hard and vigorous driver so a harness for me has been the solution. I have the Aslan Jaguar and the Spare Parts both super.

Strap-onless strap-ons
-
I love when my girlfriend ties me down and dominates me but we haven't given much thought to strap-ons. Are the strapless ones as good as the strap-ons?
-
A starp-on harness is a good initial investment because it can be used with a variety of toys including strapless ones (if desired).
The strapless ones seem to be pretty good, though depending on who you talk to. The Share line and the feeldoe line seem to get good marks from most and present the best chance that they can be used completely without a harness. The Nexus line would probably be somewhat more difficult for the giver to hold inside without a harness. I think the harness option might be better for versatility, but the Share might represent an excellent choice for you and your girlfriend as well. -

Are the strapless ones as good as the strap-ons?Personally, I would say no... just because they're harder to navigate. Certainly possible, and you can add a harness to get more stability while keeping the internal stimulation. There are also some harnesses that will hold a cock inside the wearer as well, so you have more options.
I'd agree with Jimbo that either the Share or Feeldoe is your best bet for doubles like this, the Nexus just doesn't cut it.
