Astroglide review
Astroglide is better than k-y any day but there are better lubes out there. I keep some here for when I have no other lube available. For the price Astroglide is a good choice for some.Published: April 7, 2008
Pros:
It is affordable, easy to find. Feels like body’s natural lubricant.
Cons:
It gets sticky. It contains some undesirable ingredients. Not so pleasant taste.
Astroglide is a reasonably prices water based lubricant that is readily available at most drug stores. It has a very smooth and silky texture that is wonderful for sex play. It can be used with various toys both for men and women. It feels much like the natural fluids that your body produces. It does however have certain ingredients that may have adverse effects on women. The glycerin that is added to it to make it thicker and slick does cause some women to have yeast infections. There is a glycerin free type available but I have not seen it here on Eden.
The consistency of the Astroglide makes it both good and bad. Good because it doesn’t take a lot to slick things up but bad because it you get too much you tend to get a mess. Because it is a thin lube it has a tendency to drip or run. It doesn’t have any offensive odors but the taste is not something I care for much. My husband and I both use this lube during sex. We use it when playing with vibrators and plugs as well as when we are having “no toy” sex.
I enjoy using it on my husband when I am stroking his penis; it allows my hand to slide without pulling at the sensitive skin. I enjoy it more when he uses it on me while he is sliding his fingers inside of me and stimulating my clit. We have used it for both vaginal and anal sex it works fine, not the best we have ever used but it does work. It does get sticky after a bit of use and you have to reapply.
Astroglide is better than k-y any day but there are better lubes out there. I keep some here for when I have no other lube available. Sliquid H20 and Maximus are both better in my opinion. For the price Astroglide is a good choice for some.

Favorite lube?

I absolutely think astroglide is the best all-around lube on the market. Let me know what you think.

Quote: I absolutely think astroglide is the best all-around lube on the market. Let me know what you think.I would definitely agree with you there! I always used to use different KY ones and the occasional one from different surprise-party type companies, but there was always something about them that I hated. Finally I was introduced to astroglide and haven't used anything else since :D

Astroglide is ok, but I find it doesn't work that well for anal sex. I use Maximus for that, as I am naturally a wet person, and don't really need lube for anything else.

98 Reviews? Are You Serious???
-
Can you believe there are 98 reviews on Astroglide? I was just browsing through lubes and thought I might find a good one to review, and I saw that it had 98!!! No kidding, check the page! What do you think of this, folks? Are you as surprised as me?

Most likely because reviewers starting out have to review cheaper items first. I'd guess that lubes and massage balms/oils would be many reviewers' first picks since they'd want to buy the stuff anyway. :P

A lot of people use Astroglide, so it doesn't surprise me. I reviewed it myself :)

Thank you for viewing Astroglide – water based lube review page!

Astroglide--the ubiquitous back-up lube! ;)
Astroglide is a middle of the road, mediocre lube that fits any college student's budget.
Thanks for the review!
The taste isn't too good. I agree. Then again it's not edible, but I know you tasted it only for the review. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the review.
