Astroglide only glides for a while
This is still a great product and a good budget buy. It does help lubricate, but I prefer other lubes for anal sex. It does get tacky and needs to reapplied to areas.Published: March 18, 2011

This is a water-based lubricant that is fairly cheap. To some people, this is their favorite lube but to me, not so much. It has a slightly bitter taste. Now, do not get me wrong, this is a decent lube, but there are better. This is more readily available at many locations and people just do not know what is all out there. I know that I did not know how many types and flavors there are until I joined here and became educated. It does provide lubrication, but it does get sticky and need re-application often. It will get the job done. The ingredients are Purified Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Aspartame, Methylparaben, Sodium Benzoate. I did not detect a strong odor, but it has a slight smell.
This is a basic lube that will keep you ready for action. This is a thick, slick, wet ride, and if you squirt on too much, you will have a hell of a mess. Lube everywhere! You can easliy wash it off with soap and water, and it did not stain my bedding. I do recommend trying other lubricants such as Pink Water or Toko aroma formula, both are also water-based and around the same price as Astroglide. Astroglide comes in several sizes, and they have the shooters for anal sex, the warming one, and a few other different types that will not break your bank. If you can splurge on some lubricants, try Personal lubricant; it is also water-based and has a handy pump design in the 16 oz bottle that locks for no leaking.
This lubricant is condom safe, and water-based lubes are your safest bet with toys of all materials. They clean up easily and do not stain items. I feel safe using this product with my toys.

Experience
I used a little too much once and it was everywhere. We had it on our hands, so everything was super slippery, and I got it on the floor. It was like having a Slip 'n Slide in the kitchen.

There are far better lubricants out there, and this is a cheap one. It needs to be reapplied because it get tacky, and a tacky pussy is no fun!

I always used to use different KY ones and the occasional one from different surprise-party type companies, but there was always something about them that I hated. Finally I was introduced to astroglide and haven't used anything else since :D

Astroglide is ok, but I find it doesn't work that well for anal sex. I use Maximus for that, as I am naturally a wet person, and don't really need lube for anything else.

Most likely because reviewers starting out have to review cheaper items first. I'd guess that lubes and massage balms/oils would be many reviewers' first picks since they'd want to buy the stuff anyway. :P
