Pros:
Water based; odorless, stays wet for a good amount of time
Cons:
All things dry in time, so this does start to get tacky after a while.
My husband and I first started using a lubricant as it is much more sanitary than what we, as younger folks tend to use (yes, the saliva). Lubricant is much cleaner and there is much less of a chance of transmitting disease from the mouth to the genitals.
Our first lubricant was a KY brand jelly. We found the KY to get dry very quickly and it got very tacky and sticky. Not good when you are aiming for slippery and smooth!
Now that we have two kids, and a much more hectic life, I find that now I just need the extra lubrication for any extra curricular activity down in the external clitoral/vaginal area - husband, self, or toys. I just can't do it without some lube anymore!
This lubricant is water based, so no stains on the sheets, which is great! Washes up easily with no evidence left behind. I have a very sensitive nose and cannot use anything with a fragrance. I find this lubricant to have essentially no odor, which is fantastic!
We both really like this lube. It stays slippery for a fairly long time and I have to say, it feels great! Even when he drips it on and it feels a little cool ... just that is enough to get me started. The lube feels very satiny, silky, and smooth. It really does enhance my experiences significantly (and my husbands, since turning me on, turns him on!) I won't do fingering, or really anything, without it! Also works great with the little massager we have.
On the down side, all lubes (at least of the two we've tried) dry out some time as does this one. It does get tacky after a while ... but just re-apply (which again, feels great in and of itself) and keep going!

I always used to use different KY ones and the occasional one from different surprise-party type companies, but there was always something about them that I hated. Finally I was introduced to astroglide and haven't used anything else since :D

Astroglide is ok, but I find it doesn't work that well for anal sex. I use Maximus for that, as I am naturally a wet person, and don't really need lube for anything else.

Can you believe there are 98 reviews on Astroglide? I was just browsing through lubes and thought I might find a good one to review, and I saw that it had 98!!! No kidding, check the page! What do you think of this, folks? Are you as surprised as me?

Most likely because reviewers starting out have to review cheaper items first. I'd guess that lubes and massage balms/oils would be many reviewers' first picks since they'd want to buy the stuff anyway. :P

Uh, I gotta say, if you're having unprotected sex and kissing anyway, there's no other disease transmission that is specifically mouth-genital to really be worried about it. Lubricant itself does not have any safer sex properties.
Another option when it's drying up is to just add a couple drops of water, which will often rejuvenate water-based lubes.
Oral herpes can be transmitted from mouth to the genital region. I also believe, although I do not have scientific proof, only my own experiences, that for women, there is an increased risk of bacterial/yeast infection.
