Just Lube

This is a good lube but i feel there are better out there. It is clean, non-messy, and pretty smooth. I did not notice much silkiness afterward though. It could be longer lasting and thicker in my opinion but overall it is an alright lube.

somewhat useful review
I expected much more from this lube. Some reviews had great experiences with this lube but I don't think it met my expectations. I expected a silky feeling, long lasting lube but it did not deliver like I expected. The generic lubes that come with some toys are just as good, if not better. It doesn't smell or strong bad but it has an interesting faint smell to it. It does not leave residue which is a plus. The texture of it is like other lubes I have used. It has the color of semen, sort of milky white.

I don't think it is a terrible lube, I just expected such a great product and I would buy it again. However, if there is a less expensive lube, I might try that over this again. The taste is not bad. My boyfriend uses it during foreplay and he has never complained about the smell or taste and I never noticed anything about it either. It does not last very long and the texture is a bit thin. Since it is water-based it is safe with toys and condoms and safe on the body as well. No ingredients that shouldn't be there.

The overview states that it leaves your skin feeling silky soft afterward but I did not notice this. It is water-based so that is beneficial. It does not make you feel like you're lubed up so if you like the cleaner, less messy feel, I would recommend it. I like being slippery and wet all over and this lube does not do that for me. Other reviews say things that I didn't experience, though I would have like to. Maybe I got a bad batch or maybe it's just not the lube for me. I would recommend it as a light lube that gets the job done in the end.
Follow-up commentary
Its not a terrible product but the bitter taste is strange and it doesn't provide much lubrication. My opinion is the same and we have run out so I haven't been able to reassess the product since the review but I probably will not buy it again.

How is cleanup?

To Heartthrob: Clean up is good. I haven't noticed any film like other lubes.

  • Liquid Silk and Silicone Toys
    • So, while looking through highly rated water based lubes, I came across Liquid Silk. Aside from the bitter taste, no one seems to have any complaints.

However, I noticed that the fourth ingredient is Dimethicone - and I was wondering what everyone's experience with this and silicone sex toys was? Is the silicone in Liquid Silk a small enough portion that it has no effect on toys, or is it generally not recommended for that type of play?

Or does the bonding potential of silicone lubes have more to do with the type/quality of silicone than anything else?
    • That's a really good question because Dimethicone is a silicone.

Basically it should be ok to use as long as the toy is made of medical grade silicone. There should, in theory, be no reaction. I, personally, wouldn't want to test that out on my own toys though. You can do a patch test on a small part of the toy. The reaction should be immediate if there is going to be one.

      Anyone else know about this?
    • I have had liquid silk react to a silicone toy. Which sucks because I love it. :(
