Liquid silk is a neat creation. It's perfect for men and women; it's perfect for solo play and casual sex. I don't think it's the best for anal sex personally speaking because it isn't thick enough for my linking. I love it best for masturbation and normal vaginal sex. It’s perfect if you’re new to lube or have used just about every lube on the market. It's perfect to get for yourself, or for a close friend. You can use this lube with any type of toy because it is water base. You can use this with your favorite jelly toy, or your favorite vixskin toy.

Liquid silk actually works very well in the shower. We haven't used it in the bathtub, but when used in the shower you don't have to worry about reapplying it. This lube provides AMAZING friction protection. I've used some that after a few trusts it becomes very dry. You don't have to worry about that with this. It does have a very natural-feeling so if you don't want to feel like you’re coated in lube, then this would be perfect for you.

Although the liquid silk isn't as thick as silicone it is kind of thick. It almost reminds me of lotion, you know your normal everyday lotion. That is one reason why I was so scared to use it, but once you are using it you notice it isn't lotion. I do wish the texture was a little thicker, but overall I'm very happy with the texture.

The lube is extremely easy to pour out of the bottle, but when it's on your skin you don't have to worry about it running all down your body. I'm slightly annoyed by lube that when placed on the vagina it runs all the way down to my but crack. With this I was able to put some on my hand and turn my hand over in the air, and it didn't run. It eventually did, but it took it long time.

The liquid silk doesn't have a sticky feeling, nor does it have a greasy feeling. You don't have to worry about it drying up and make you feel like you need to jump into the shower. It also doesn't leave you with a greasy feeling that could leave your skin all shiny looking. Liquid silk does moisturize the skin so when it does dry up, it leaves your skin feeling extremely smooth and soft.

I did NOT like the taste of the liquid silk. I tasted for the sake of this review! I would never do it again. It does remind me of lotion. It has a bad taste; I highly don't recommend this for oral sex. It doesn't really have a smell either. There is a lite smell that I can't quite put my finger on. It's a very subtle smell and it isn't overwhelming and it won't smell up the room. I don't care too much for the smell and I don't care for the taste either.

When it came down to using this product it did hold up to my expectations. I had a loft of hopes for it because of the maximus lube. It's made by the same company so I was hoping that I would love it and I actually do. When using it during vaginal penetrating sex, we did have to reapply it one other time other than the very first time. Because I've used lubes that I had to reapply it way more than just once, when using it during toy play, I did have to apply a couple of time, but that was only because I switched between toys. If i wouldn't have done that, I don't see why I would have to keep reapplying it.

When cleaning it doesn't take much, I was just able to use a dry cloth and wipe it off. I didn't have to worry about jumping in the shower or even using it with a damp cloth. My boyfriend on the other hand, he did use a wet cloth only because he isn't circumcised and he just worried about leaving some behind. If it wasn't for that he said he wouldn't use a wet cloth. He doesn’t feel the need to jump into the shower.

The only complaint I have about this is the taste. I know it isn't meant for oral sex, but it would be nice if it has a more pleasing taste just in case you do mistakenly get some into your mouth. I do also wish it was thicker. I know some people might think its thick enough for anal play, but I don't. You can apply the lube by the pump top.

The package of the liquid silk is pretty simple and is discreet. It doesn't cream lube to me. I does have some writing on the front and back. It comes inside of all clear plastic bottles that has pump top. The pump top is perfect so you can get the desired amount into your hands without causing a huge mess. You only really need two or three good pumps to cover everything. The bottle is discreet enough for travel, but I wouldn't recommend putting this into your carry-on luggage. You don't have to worry about the container leaking when you are storing it away.

Liquid silk does contain a low of perabens. Parabens are a class of chemicals widely used as preservatives by cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Parabens are effective preservatives in many types of formulas. These compounds, and their salts, are used primarily for their bactericidal and fungicidal properties. They can be found in shampoos, commercial moisturizers, shaving gels, personal lubricants, topical/parenteral pharmaceuticals, spray tanning solution, makeup, and toothpaste.

For people with normal skin, parabens are, for the most part, non-irritating and non-sensitizing. Parabens can, however, cause skin irritation and contact dermatitis and rosacea in individuals with paraben allergies this happens to a very small amount of people, but it is enough to pay attention to how your own skin reacts to it.

Before applying to your vaginal area, I highly recommend doing a spot test. You should apply small amount to your inner wrist and wait to see if there is a reaction. If there isn't then it's safe to use. If you do find that you aren't allergic to it, but over time it does cause some irritation, I'd recommend discontinuing use.
