Liquid silk - lubricant discontinued by Bodywise Limited - review by megan1987

I was on the look out for a high quality water-based lubricant for use with toys as well as to try out during PIV sex and masturbation. I came across Liquid Silk and decided to try it.

One of my favorite aspects of this product is it's stylish, functional, and somewhat discreet bottle. The Liquid Silk bottle has a catchy phrase, nice writing, is a very generous size, and has a very convenient pump for easy, clean use. The bottle and pump are sturdy and leak free. I've never had any issues with quickly tossing it in a drawer. It could easily be mistaken for lotion, so if you forget to put it away, it may go unnoticed.

This product has a slight scent, but it is not overpowering or extremely noticeable. I had read some reviews claiming that this product is tasteless, but this is not the case. This product has a slight to moderate taste, so if you use this product and then have oral sex, you will likely notice the flavor. It is a slightly sweet, but chemical taste. I would avoid this product if you're looking for a lube for use in combination with oral sex.

The pump makes it very easy to dispense. It is a nice mixture of thick and slightly creamy, but not tacky or sticky. Upon application, it feels very similar to my natural wetness. I've found that this product will last through PIV sex, masturbation, or other play in most circumstances, but extended play may require reapplication. For me, Liquid Silk does not require soap and water to clean up, just a simple wipe off. I haven't had any issues with staining clothes or sheets.

Be aware, however, this product does contain parabens and may irritate your skin if you are sensitive. I'm fortunate enough not to be sensitive to them.

Liquid Silk is not my go-to lubricant, but I do use it on occasion.
